A second video has emerged of a gang of looters armed with bear spray who dashed their way through a Nordstrom store, taking $100,000 in luxury goods with them.

The gang of up to 50 adorned themselves in black hoodies and covered their faces are seen grabbing at expensive luggage during a raid on the department store at Westfield Topanga Mall on Saturday.

Videos have been circulating on social media with a new angle showing the thieves grabbing luxury goods including a Burberry handbag before fleeing the scene.

In the video, one employee appears to be gesturing to other people to stay back, as the large group swarmed the store.

One thief wearing a black balaclava is also seen in the new video slipping and falling as he exits the store. As of Sunday afternoon, the LAPD's Topanga Division has reported no arrests.

The new footage had been shared to Twitter by user Noel Escobar who captioned his video: 'I was shopping at Topanga Mall when this happened!! They started stealing all the Designer from Nordstroms.'

In his video, loud banging and the smashing of glass can be heard as he pans his camera round the store.

Several individuals are seen yanking at security tagged goods and raid clothes rails as what appears to be a member of staff seemingly ushers other shoppers to stay away.

Escobar can be heard saying: 'Damn, this is f***ing crazy y'all. This is nuts.'

Thieves are seen making for the exit, with one of them carrying a suitcase as well as other pieces of luxury luggage.

The group swarmed the store at around 4pm on Saturday, taking armfuls of items, some inadvertently dropping goods amid the chaos, as they maneuvered around shattered glass and overturned mannequins.

The gang had also deployed bear spray to attack two security guards at the store, allowing them to cause chaos.

An ambulance responded to the mall, but it remains unclear if anyone was transported to hospital following the incident.

Witnesses watched the looters flee, several in vehicles, including Lexus and BMW cars.

Investigators believe the group stole about $60,000 and $100,000 worth of merchandise

One shopper inside the store told NBC Los Angeles that she had saw them target Yves Saint Laurent products.

The customer, known only as Janie, told the outlet: 'I've never seen anything like it. It's a disgrace.

'I saw three cars pull up, and I saw these guys just running out with all these purses. They just grabbed all the YSL.'

The same Nordstrom had previously been looted in November 2021 when robbers again used bear spray on a security guard and stolen designer goods.

Following the incident, LA Mayor Karen Bass said: 'What happened today at the Nordstrom in the Topanga Mall is absolutely unacceptable.

'Those who committed these acts and acts like it in neighboring areas must be held accountable.

'The Los Angeles Police Department will continue to work to not only find those responsible for this incident but to prevent these attacks on retailers from happening in the future.'

In a statement, the LAPD said: 'Topanga Division officers were on the scene quickly and have several investigative leads.

'To criminals, it is just property taken. To those who live in the area and patronize the Topanga Mall it is a loss of feeling safe.

'The LAPD will exhaust all efforts to bring those responsible into custody and seek criminal prosecution.'

Just last week, stunned bystanders caught the shocking moment a gang of at least 30 brazen thieves ransacked a Yves Saint Laurent store in an upscale California shopping center.

Videos posted online showed multiple people in dark clothes, hoods and masks running into and then quickly out of the store at the Americana at Brand shortly before 5pm Tuesday.

Glendale police said the thieves got away with about $300,000 worth of merchandise, after they overwhelmed the staff and took everything they could in less than a minute.

None of the thieves used any weapons in the brazen scheme, and no injuries were reported.

An investigation is ongoing, as California continues to deal with a spate of robberies after lawmakers lowered the punishment for thefts of merchandise under $950.

Robberies have become almost commonplace in California, where thefts of objects valued at $950 or less are misdemeanors.

Those convicted of such a crime can face six months in a county jail, but in most cases cops do not even bother to press charges.

The California Senate also passed legislation in May that prevents employees to confront active shooters or shoplifters in California.

Supporters say it protects staff from violence, but stores and employees themselves say the move will only embolden further shoplifting.
