'Luigi was late to the party!' TikTok users in hysterics over mascot's late reaction to man's proposal at Nintendo World

Whether you're a bride-to-be or have dreamt of your big day ever since you were a little girl, getting married is thought to be one of life's many pleasures.

Mario and Luigi mascots at Universal Studios in LA were there to see the romance unfold when a man proposed to his girlfriend in the middle of Nintendo Land.

While Bella was left feeling over the moon - not everybody was so pleased, as Luigi refused to clap for the happy couple. 

However his older brother Mario proved to be a good sport, cheering for the bride and groom to be.

And it isn't just Luigi that wasn't keen on the public proposal.

This made for a very awkward celebration and Bella's fans couldn't help but notice.  

One TikTok user said: 'Luigi did not want to see that'.

Another remarked: 'Who hurt Luigi' to mock Mario's younger brother's nonchalant reaction.

Others were more fixated on Mario, finding his joyful praise alluring: 'I would propose to Mario'.

But some TikTok users were convinced the creator's boyfriend had staged the affair for the cameras: 'I don't think it's real'.

Many weren't keen on such a momentous occasion playing out behind the camera, with Mario shrieking his chirpy tagline in the background: 'Can you imagine being proposed to and in the background Mario is just blabbing about it's Mario time!?'

However, one user expressed their happiness for the pair: 'My favourite genre of TikTok is proposals at funny places'. 

Another was quick to congratulate the couple: 'Congratulations. Love this!'

More users chimed in to support the boyfriend: 'If I got proposed to in front of Mario and Luigi it would be the best day of my life'.

This comes despite Luigi's lack of concern for his surroundings.
