A Brazilian influencer's mysterious murder almost drove her mother to commit suicide.
Yanca Lorrane, 27, was at her home in the northeastern city of Salvador when three men broke in and shot her three times early Friday morning, the Civil Police said.
The suspects fled and had not been arrested as of Monday.
'The authorship and motivation are being investigated,' the Civil Police said in a statement.
Lorrane's mother, Sandra Lorrane, revealed that pain of witnessing her daughter's death nearly made her take her own life.

'I went into a crisis, I started screaming, I even wanted to take [poison] to kill myself,' a distraught Sandra Lorrane said in a video that was posted to her daughter's Instagram account.
'I didn't want to live anymore because it hurts a lot to go through this.'
Sandra Lorrane recalled hearing the shots before she rushed to aid her daughter.
'You are not feeling the pain of a mother who saw her daughter being murdered,' Sandra Lorrane said. 'I don't know who did it, I just heard the 'roar' of the shots and I don't care who did it, because it won't bring my daughter back.'
The shocking murder took place hours after Yanca Lorrane posted a message on Instagram Story advising visitors not to show up unannounced at her residence.
'Please don't come to my door without calling me or sending me a message,' the message read in Portuguese.

The 27-year-old shared with her 76,000 plus Instagram followers that she had been taking medication for anxiety
On Thursday, the young woman shared another message that read, 'The evil of some is to touch my name too much, what despair is this?'
She had recently revealed on the platform that she was taking medicine to combat her battle with anxiety.
She also claimed that a debtor who she did not know was seeking a 5,000 Brazilian reais payment, about $1,000.
All of the messages from Lorrane's Instagram account, which has more than 76,000 followers, have since been erased.
Her shaken mother said that several profiles with the slain influencer's photos have been created with the end goal of conning people out of money.
'They are creating fakes where they are saying things that I am not saying... asking for money that I'm not asking for,' Sandra Lorrane said.
Yanca Lorrane was arrested in 2019 for her involvement with a gang that targeted department stores. Two suspects were killed and two others were arrested during a pursuit.
She was caught transporting stolen tablets, cellphones, video games, and 9,000 reais, about $1,800, that were taken from a safe, according to court documents.
Yanca Lorrane was sentenced to six years in prison, but it's unknown why she was not in jail.
