A DoorDash driver allegedly stormed into a WingStop kitchen and attacked the manager because she was angry her order was taking too long.

Whitney Moffett, 33, was working as a DoorDash delivery driver in Amarillo, Texas and was completing an order-pickup at the popular chicken shop in Randall County on Sunday afternoon when the drama unfolded.

When she arrived at the fast-food restaurant, she discovered that the order wasn't ready to be picked up and allegedly flew into a rage.

The delivery-woman trespassed into the kitchen of the popular chicken wing restaurant and physically attacked the manager out of anger.

Luckily for the WingStop worker, an off-duty deputy saw the dramatic brawl and intervened.

The deputy called their colleagues at the Amarillo Police Department for backup.

When the officers arrived they helped the deputy who had witnessed the attack with containing Moffett.

She was arrested and taken to the Randall County Detention Center for assault causing bodily injury after her violent attack on the store's manager.

Moffett was booked into the county's jail for the assault as well as obstruction of law enforcement for resisting arrest.

Her mugshot has since been released and it shows what appears to be a bump on her forehead.

The incident happened at around 4:30 pm Sunday and is still being investigated by the Amarillo Police Department Violent Crimes Unit.

DoorDash delivery workers are paid by order instead of a salary or an hourly wage so the more orders they complete - the more money they earn.

DoorDash told DailyMail.com that they're unable to provide information about the employment status of their 'dashers' so it's unclear if Moffett is still employed by the company.

DoorDash have faced other controversies with their drivers recently.

Disgusting video footage captured the moment a DoorDash delivery man in Miami, Florida spit on his customer's food

The 'dasher' was disappointed by what he thought was a stingy tip and decided to take his anger out by tampering with the innocent teenager DoorDash user's food order.

This called into question how seriously DoorDash chooses their drivers and make sure that they're delivering a high standard of customer service.

DoorDash responded to the sickening situation in a statement:

'While we empathize with the frustration of not receiving a tip, this behavior is unacceptable and falls far below the high quality experience we aim to provide.

'We have removed the Dasher from our platform and have reached out to the customer directly to help make things right.'

In July DoorDash fired one of their drivers for swearing at a female customer on her doorstep when she gave him a 25 percent tip on her $20 pizza delivery.

Lacey Purciful, 38, was left stunned after Corey, the worker, suggested someone living in a $500,000 home like herself should have been more generous. He's now been dropped by DoorDash.

DoorDash has had multiple other controversies with their drivers for incidents such as spitting in customer's food and harassing users of the delivery service for not tipping enough

DoorDash spokesperson told DailyMail.com: 'Respectfully asking for a tip is acceptable but abusing or harassing someone is never acceptable.

'We’ve removed this Dasher from our platform and reached out to the customer.

'Our rules exist to help ensure everyone who uses our platform - Dashers, customers, merchants - have a safe and enjoyable experience.

'We expect everyone to treat others with respect and we will enforce our rules fairly and consistently.'
