Taylor Swift's romance with Travis Kelce will be the reason the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl this year, claims Pat McAfee... as he insists new romance is 'great for football'

ESPN personality Pat McAfee believes that the Kansas City Chiefs will win the Super Bowl again - and this time the person responsible for it all will not be head coach Andy Reid, nor quarterback Patrick Mahomes, nor tight end Travis Kelce.

Instead, the one responsible for a fourth Lombardi Trophy coming to Kansas City will be... Taylor Swift.

Yes that's right, McAfee - a former punter in the NFL - believes that the pop star could prove to be the very thing that KC needs to be the first team since the 2003 and 2004 New England Patriots to win back-to-back titles.

'The Kansas City Chiefs are about to win the Super Bowl again, and it's all because of Taylor Swift,' he said on The Pat McAfee Show.

'Travis Kelce had a lot of catches in the first half, they're up 40 at halftime. Travis Kelce hasn't got in the paint yet, with Taylor Swift [watching]. I'm like, do [Matt] Nagy and Andy Reid not want to see Kelce do his thing, do his dance in front of his new lady, who happens to be here this evening?

'Now, Taylor goes crazy... you look at that reaction. They know each other. She is invested in the Chiefs and Travis Kelce's success. He kind of gave a little teaser last week, he said "the ball's in her court."

'I think they look like they're having a good time. I think Travis Kelce's the right guy for Taylor Swift... and Taylor, and the Swifties, we'd like to tell you: Welcome to football.

'There was one particular Swiftie account, my wife showed me, that was breaking down what football is, as the game was going on. "Just so you know you get four tries..."

'There's people that are not happy about this... I want to let these football people know: this is great for football, great for business. I'm so incredibly happy for Travis Kelce, man.'

Swift was in attendance to watch Kelce and the Chiefs beat the Chicago Bears 41-10 at Arrowhead. Kelce caught a touchdown and racked up 69 receiving yards.
