No one wants a permanent reminder of their mistakes, but that's what happened to one unfortunate tattoo artist.
Jordan LaMattina, a photographer from Florida, decided to get a matching tattoo with her best friend, Mandy, who was visiting her from Alabama, to commemorate their friendship.
The pair landed on a design that read, 'Everything's fine,' which was designed by Mandy - explaining it's a joke between them to use the phrase when something isn't fine.
It wasn't until after Jordan's new ink was complete that they realized the 'Y' was missing - giving the tattoo a whole new meaning.

It wasn't until after her new ink was complete that they realized the 'Y' was missing - giving the tattoo a whole new meaning
Jordan's hysterical reaction was captured in a now-viral TikTok video, showing her almost breathless with laughter as she looks at her new ink, while the tattoo artist looked on horrified.
'He's mortified and I think it's so much better,' Jordan captioned the post, which has been viewed more than 8.1 million times.
In the background, someone can be heard saying: 'This is not your fault. This is the greatest, this is the greatest moment of my life.'
When the camera zooms in, you can see the ink on her hand reads 'everthing's fine,' instead of the intended: 'everything's fine.'
'I didn't notice [the mistake] because I have ADHD, she (Mandy) didn't notice it because she's dyslexic,' Jordan explained in a video. 'I approved the stencil.'
'It is not [the tattoo artist's] fault,' she continued, adding: 'We were so distracted.'
In a follow-up video, the women explained their stencil had been looked at by several people - and no one had picked up on the spelling error.
It wasn't until Jordan was showing Mandy's wife her fresh ink that they picked up on the fact it was missing something - to their amusement and the tattoo artist's horror.
Both the women said the spelling error was not the tattoo artist's fault, saying they were 'so distracted'
Luckily Jordan thought the spelling error was hilarious, with the now-viral video capturing her hysterically laughing after she realized what the tattoo said
Mandy confirmed her version did have a Y, but the best friends think the accidental redesign was actually a 'perfect' way to capture their chaotic friendship
'His face was white because he couldn't tell if I was sobbing,' Jordan recalled.
'I could not breathe. [You] can see me constantly trying not to move because I'm trying not to pee myself.'
'It was one hundred percent my fault, my design,' Mandy chimed in.
When it came to Mandy's turn, her tattoo did end up having a Y.
But the best friends think the accidental redesign was actually a 'perfect' way to capture their chaotic friendship.
Thousands of people commented on how calm the women were - and applauded them for not blaming the tattoo artist.
'Lol classic that's actually even more funny,' one person wrote.
'Omg I luv that tat and this makes it a billion times better poor dude [has] ptsd though,' another laughed.
Everything is not fine: can you spot the tattoo artist's mistake
Some users commenting saying they preferred the misspelled version, and after watching some of the pair's videos together think it encapsulates their friendship perfectly
Some users said they would have made the same mistake.
'Took me way too long to realize what was wrong,' one viewer admitted.
'The way I had to watch it 20x to realize what was wrong,' someone else wrote.
Jordan's hilarious tattoo blunder comes just days after it was revealed that supermodel Cara Delevingne also suffered a similar issue with one of her own inkings.
The 31-year-old fashion star posed topless to show off the design - which features an abstract image of a woman's face above the Italian phrase 'Dormiveglia', which means 'semi-conscious state'.
Tattooed alongside the word is the dictionary definition - however it has now been pointed out that Cara's tattoo artist, Matteo Nangeroni, replaced the word ‘waking’ with the word ‘walking,’ thereby changing the phrase’s meaning entirely.
Instead, her design reads: ‘Dormiveglia: The space that stretches between sleeping and walking.’
When Nangeroni posted images of Cara’s new tattoo on his Instagram account, followers were quick to point out the different wording, which he insisted had been the model’s ‘vision.’
‘Noo… you spelled it wrong, it’s supposed to be ‘waking’ not ‘walking,’ one person wrote, while another added: ‘Walking or waking? Beautiful tattoo though.’
Nangeroni responded: ‘Maybe we chose that?’
