Chrissy Metz has split from her boyfriend Bradley Collins after three years of dating.

The 43-year-old This Is Us star and the writer issued a joint statement via Instagram on Friday announcing their split and stating they still 'love each other very much.'

'After three and a half years together, we've decided to end our romantic relationship amicably,' the statement read.

'While we continue to love each other very much, we believe this is the best path for us both. We still have books to write, songs to sing, and a special friendship to keep us in each other’s lives forever.'

The pair met via dating app Bumble, with Chrissy making their relationship Instagram official in 2020.

In January of 2021 the star denied she was engaged to Bradley, after she wore a honeycomb ring he bought her for Christmas on her wedding finger.

'It's a honeycomb. I'm obsessed with bees. I love bees. I'm like, who thought that this was an engagement ring, first of all?! And like, what?!' she said on SiriusXM's The Covino & Rich Show.

The actress previously dished about the start of the relationship on Radio Andy in 2021 saying: 'Who knew I had to go on the old Bumble? But I have no shame.'

Chrissy was in Nashville for work and then decided to stay in town, partly to be within driving distance of her mother who was 'going through some medical issues.'

She explained: 'So it wasn't anything I was expecting or planning but I was like: "I am kinda bored, so let me try the old Bumble."'

Women have to send the first message on Bumble which was part of the attraction to Chrissy, she revealed to host Andy Cohen on the program.

The Florida-born TV actress gushed that 'I love the idea that the woman gets to take the first step. I think that's so cool. I love that!'

Chrissy admitted that 'of course you've gotta kiss a lot of frogs before you find a prince, for sure,' and revealed that when she signed onto the platform 'there was a question and I had to like make sure that I was the person that I said I was.'

However although she verified her identity for the platform she 'also didn't put a ton on my profile because I thought like, it sorts of weeds out the people who want to maybe talk to me for any other reason than a genuine reason.'

She added: 'But I do remember seeing a guy's picture and he was an aspiring writer and he had a This Is Us coffee cup and I was like: "Ugh, I can't. I can't! Like, hat would just be too weird." And then I was like: "Oh, that's sweet, but I can't."'

Chrissy remembered: 'So yeah, of course you talk to a couple of people, and you know it's just like: "Oh, we're not clicking. We're not vibing." And you know, you like to think the best of every situation.'

She noted: 'But interestingly enough, Bradley and I have all the same friends. He knows all the same songwriters. He's in music publishing for 16 years.'

The Talking To God singer said: 'And so we'd been in the same rooms but we had never met, so I was like well, I feel like it, you know, it was meant to be for sure, so.'

Chrissy confirmed their relationship in October on Instagram.

'Happy #nationalboyfriendday to my dreamboat!' she wrote.
