The positive effects of the University of Colorado's hire of Deion Sanders may take some time to fully flesh themselves out on the field. Off the field, it's a different story.

Numerous reports have put numbers on the off-field revenue generated by the university in the wake of Sanders' hire and the results are staggering.

Merchandise sales in the school's online team store have shot up 1,220 percent - while year-to-date sales rose 51 percent, according to reports from Front Office Sports.

The university has even seen a boost in its academics - with out-of-state admissions jumping up 40 percent.

Those numbers come from the university's chancellor Philip DiStefano (via TIME) - who called Sanders' arrival in the Flatirons 'transformational'.

This is despite CU having the 12th highest out-of-state tuition rates of any flagship public university in the country - with combined tuition and fees clocking in at $36,220. That's compared to $12,086 for in-state residents.

People have been tuning in heavily to Buffaloes' football games, giving the school $45million in earned media, according to Apex Marketing Group.

That might also include Colorado's appearance on ESPN's College GameDay - which hyped up the school before its game against Colorado State in Week 3.

Additionally, football ticket sales saw a $14million increase in revenue compared to 2022 - as celebrities like LeBron James and Lil Wayne have shown their faces at Folsom Field.

Sanders recognizes his role in helping to grow the university, telling TIME, 'People are drawn to hope. We’re pulling people in, man, that just want a chance to be seen, to be heard, to be noticed, to be recognized.'

The Buffaloes will look to improve their 4-2 record on Saturday when they host Stanford for an in-conference clash.
