A former bank teller has begged customers who complete feedback surveys to give employees a perfect score - and revealed what happens when workers receive anything below a 10.

Jocelyn, who goes by @Financialteller on TikTok, frequently shares her financial tips and tricks on the video-sharing platform.

Most recently, the Idaho-based content creator took to the app to reveal what happens to bank employees after customers fill out surveys.

In a clip, which has so far amassed over 12,800 views, Jocelyn shared that any score below 10 can have an extremely negative impact.

At the beginning of the clip, which she captioned 'Bankers of TikTok,' she said: 'If you do those little surveys after going to a bank or credit union, this video is for you.'

Then, she dished the details of how those seemingly harmless questionnaires can impact workers.

'Here's a little tip for you. If nothing happened to the point where you want to complain and you were just fine with the service, please give us a 10.

'The reason I say that is because in the eyes of financial institutions, it's either a perfect score or you fail,' she explained.

Jocelyn also pleaded with viewers to read the questions carefully, adding that she has often gotten penalized for things that are out of her control because customers respond incorrectly.

The former bank teller - who is now a social worker - added: 'Do you know how many times I've gotten a "fail" because somebody didn't like our online banking or somebody didn't like the décor in the lobby or the music?

'We don't have any control over that and we are the ones who get punished or lose out on our incentive because we didn't get a perfect 10.'

And viewers were left stunned by the revelation.

One person wrote: 'I got a nine this week because we don't have a bike rack.'

Someone else added: 'Got a one. Why? Because the Post Office delivered their checks to their neighbor.'

'I got a seven because our ATM only gave 20s,' commented another user.

'Preach,' one person added.
