People on the web were sent into a frenzy after learning that popular bakery Nothing Bundt Cakes is a franchise — sparking social media users to reveal the other chains they thought were mom-and-pop shops but turned out to be bigger businesses. 

Content creator Eli Rallo shocked viewers when she shared that the 'craziest' thing she had discovered was that the dessert store wasn't a small business. 

The 25-year-old frequently shares her opinions on TikTok, where she boasts more than 775,000 followers. 

Recently Eli ignited a discussion about Nothing Bundt Cakes that prompted people to bring in the other franchises they initially thought were small businesses.

At the beginning of the clip, which has so far amassed more than 670,000 views, she said: 'I thought that the national bakery chain, Nothing Bundt Cakes, was a local, small-town, family-run business.' 

She noted that when she was in college she heard a friend talking about the bakery and realized it was a national chain with more than 500 shops across the country and Canada.  

The content creator added that she even brought visitors to the bakery and told them a 'grandma was in the back' making her the delicious treats.

Eli added that she first shared her confusion with her followers on Instagram and received many messages from people claiming they also thought it was a mom-and- pop shop.

Viewers flooded the comments section, with many of them noting they were also shocked when they learned the truth about Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Despite many thinking Nothing Bundt Cakes was a local-run company, it has been around since 1997, with the very first location opening in Las Vegas. 

It is now the nation's largest specialty cake company. 

It offers a variety of flavors of its classic eight-inch, 10-inch, and tiered bundt cakes as well as personal bundt cakes.
