A college student was left stunned after she returned home from school and discovered that her parents were now in a polyamorous relationship.

The US-based woman, named Iz, shared her horror over finding out about the situation to her TikTok account, and it quickly went viral.

In the clip, which was viewed more than 1.4 million times, Iz explained that she had no idea that her dad and step-mom had become involved a four-way relationship with another couple until she went to visit them during a break from her classes.

And after they told her the news, the teen was so mortified that she wanted to head back to college immediately.

'Coming home from college to find out my parents are in a polyamorous relationship with another couple,' Iz wrote in the video, which showed her dancing to the song Handsome and Wealthy by Migos.

'Ready to head on back to my dorm room,' she added in the caption. 

The TikTok left many people on the web stunned, but it also sparked a slew of concerned comments from some viewers. 

'Jokes aside, this is a huge change and I'm sorry something like this was sprung on you. That wasn't fair,' one person wrote.

'I genuinely feel bad for you,' said another. 'Your dad is selfish and only thinking about himself.' 

Someone else simply commented, 'Hugs,' with a heart. 

Others urged Iz to look on the bright side as a fourth reply read, 'That's quadruple the spending money.'

She explained that she was okay with the predicament because she had been 'emotionally trained' to handle that sort of 'crazy s**t' after witnessing her dad go through three marriages

'I came back from break and found out my dad got married to a woman I'd never heard about,' one person revealed.

'Same vibe as when I came back from a study abroad to find my parents separated and us without a house,' wrote another.

A different user said, 'The day I came from college my mom told me she was divorcing my step dad. I hadn't even finished unpacking my car.'

'This is my dad's third marriage since my mom. Don't worry, I have been emotionally trained to handle this crazy s**t my entire life and am fully chilling at college again.'
