A federal judge has dismissed a defamation suit against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who was being sued by a 26-year-old woman claiming to be his daughter.

In the lawsuit, plaintiff Alexandra Davis claimed that Jones, his lawyer Don Jack, and a family consultant named Jim Wilkinson 'initiated a deliberate plan' to portray her as 'an 'extortionist' and a 'shakedown artist.'''

Back in 2022, the 26-year-old Davis filed a separate lawsuit against Jones, claiming that he paid her mother $375,000 and set up two trusts so that she would not reveal that he was her biological father.

In his 36-page order dismissing the lawsuit, Judge Robert W. Schroeder III determined that some of the alleged defamatory statements were either were either true or 'not defamatory.'

Schroder also ruled that Davis qualified as a 'limited public figure' and due to such had failed to make a valid claim of actual malice, which is a requirement under the defamation law.

Although he dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice, the judge still gave Davis and her lawyers the chance to amend their complaints and argue the defendants id in fact act with malice when they made previous comments that were eventually published on the subject.

'We are amending our pleading and we are pleased that the case is moving forward,' said Andrew Bergman who is one of the lawyers for Davis.

Davis and her lawyers insist she is not motivated by money.

Wilkinson, however, has contradicted that claim by accusing Bergman of demanding 'Zeke [Ezekiel Elliott] or Dak [Prescott] money' to make the lawsuit 'go away.'

Bergman, on the other hand, insists his client never asked for any money in order to settle the case.

In court filings, obtained by DailyMail.com, Jones's attorneys previously moved to have the case dismissed, while accusing Davis of trying to extort money from the billionaire

Jones's filing from Monday says he was sued only after he refused Davis's request to 'make a deal' to 'assure that he would not be publicly or privately identified' as her father

Jones, a 81-year-old married father of three, has not confirmed or denied that he is Davis's father.

Jones has already paid nearly $3 million Davis, including a $70,000 Range Rover for her 'Sweet 16' party nine years ago, according to Jack, the Arkansas attorney who says he facilitated the transactions.

Jones's alleged payments to Davis also included full tuition at Southern Methodist University, Jack told ESPN in 2022.

'On numerous occasions I have made payments on behalf of Mr. Jones to Cindy and Alex Davis,' Jack said in a statement, referencing the plaintiff and her mother, Cynthia Davis Spencer.
