Sometimes New York is not like the movies, which one TikTok user perfectly encapsulated in satirical now-viral video.
Comedian and content creator Benton McClintock, 26, posted the clip mockingly vlogging from the point of view of a newly-graduated young woman who moved to the big city - only to find it's not what she thought it would be.
'New York City, is like, not what I thought it was going to be,' Benton begins the TikTok, with faux tears streaming down his face.
'It's so lonely, it's disgusting, it's so dirty,' he moaned, before listing why it's not as glamorous as he thought.

'It's not what it looks like in the movies or the shows at all,' he said in mock outrage.
'I thought I was going to be like living in the West Village, and you know, like dating a rich man who's, like, an heir to a Fortune 500 company — but that’s just like not happening,' Benton says as he walks along a street in New York.
'I’m waiting in line at a place called Pianos every weekend to just, you know, get drinks spilled on me by frat bros,' he continues.
Benton, as the young female graduate, then whines that 'all of [her] Greek life friends have left the city because they couldn't handle it.'
He then says New York is, 'so lonely, and it's so expensive,' and the view from his apartment 'is a brick wall.'
'And it's like, why did no one tell me this?' he says in mock outrage, in the viral video, before recapping the reasons why New York is not all it's cracked up to be.
'It's like these things aren't, like, published on the internet. It's like, I had no idea,' the content creator concluded in the satirical video, which has been viewed over 1.2 million times. 'And I thought I was gonna come here and say it's not.'

Benton is known for this satirical videos, often posting 'day in my life' style videos in the mock-point-of-view of wealthy children and relatable New York City problems.
