Shocking moment woman fights off attacker who tries to push her into bathroom at Brazilian mattress store as cops hunt sexual assault suspect

This is the frightening moment a saleswoman at a Brazilian mattress store was dragged into a bathroom before she managed to fight off her attacker, who allegedly attempted to sexually assault her.

Footage allegedly of the incident shows a man approaching the woman from behind and grabbing her arm moments before Castor Colchões was set to close Saturday evening in the southeastern city of São Paulo.

The man is seen attempting to push her into the bathroom, where she fell on the floor and screamed as he tried to subdue her.

The alleged attacker could be seen pinning her to the ground before he managed to snatch her cellphone away.

However, the brave woman stood up and confronted the suspect, taking her phone back while trying to shut the door and lock herself inside the bathroom.

The man was seen subsequently running out of the store and disappeared.

Authorities have been able to identify the attacker, but had not made an arrest as of Friday, Brazilian news outlet G1 reported.

They are also looking into whether the suspect is the same person who has robbed other women in the neighborhood of Campo Grande, according to police.

The incident comes just two weeks after Good Samaritans rescued a woman who was being held by a would-be rapist 16 miles away in the neighborhood of Vila das Mercês.

The suspect was seen forcing the woman into the bathroom, where he pinned her to the ground and at one point took her cellphone before the victim managed to wrestle it away from him

Street security cameras showed the suspect approaching the woman and grabbing her from behind.

He pushed her against a building wall, causing her to drop her handbag to the floor. The driver witnessed the incident and stopped the bus as the man forced the woman to walk down the street.

A second security camera showed the suspect and victim walking down the street and turning at the corner when Sousa suddenly slammed on the bus' brakes, permitting several passengers the opportunity to step out and pulled the woman away.

The suspect managed to escape on foot.
