Colorado's family affair appears set to continue into 2024 with both head coach Deion Sanders' sons seemingly returning.

Quarterback Shedeur and safety Shilo Sanders followed Coach Prime to Colorado ahead of his first season with the Buffaloes, which ended in a disappointing 4-8 last-place finish.

Both Sanders brothers are eligible for the 2024 NFL Draft but Deion suggested the pair were staying put.

'It's up to us,' Coach Prime told USA Today. 'We do things as a family, and my sons respect the heck out of me and my decision-making and getting them to where they desire to go.

'[…] It's always been our dream that they're going into the draft together, and we didn't know how that would manifest itself with (the Covid-19 pandemic) and everything. It just so happened properly that they're going in the same draft at the conclusion of next season.'

While the Sanders family will be staying put a number of recruits and staff are not, following a tumultuous season.

The Buffaloes started the year 3-0 and earned a spot in the national rankings but fell away dramatically and ended the season 4-8, thanks to a six-game losing streak.

Sanders has since faced a mass exodus of recruits with a number decommitting, including two quarterbacks.

He has also lost three members of his coaching staff over the pas week with defensive ends coach Nick Williams the latest to announce his exit on Saturday night.

Offensive coordinator Sean Lewis was named head coach of San Diego State on Wednesday and tight ends coach Tim Brewster resigned the week prior.

Shedeur finished the season with 3,230 passing yards, 27 touchdowns and three interceptions but he did struggle with injuries throughout the season, including a fracture in his back.

His son's injuries have prompted Deion to look to recruiting some 'older quarterbacks' in the transfer portal to provide backup should Sheduer continue to struggle with issues next year.

'So if something were to happen to Shedeur, they could step right in and make it happen,' Deion said.

'That's what we're looking for. We've already mapped out what we need in each position way before the season concluded. So we already knew and know what we're looking for. So we're right on pace to go find what we're looking for, and we know where it is.'

Meanwhile, Shilo registered 54 tackles, four forced fumbles, one interception and one pass breakup.
