A 20-year-old woman has sparked fierce backlash after claiming she would 'simply die' if she had to do a 9 to 5 job.
Zoe Wynns, who is studying Music and English at the University of North Carolina, took to Instagram to urge people to stream her music so she would not have to work in a traditional role.
She explained how she would not suit certain careers because she 'starts to cry' if she has 'more than three non-creative tasks to do in a day.'
But other social media users were less than impressed with the sentiment and rushed to the comments to share their frustrations.

In the original clip, which recently resurfaced, Zoe can be seen sitting in her car with her arms folded.
She begins: 'I cannot do a 9 to 5. I know this is going to sound spoiled. I know this is going to sound like some artsy creative who just doesn't want to put in the hard work and hours but I physically do not think I can do it.
'I start to cry if I have more than three non-creative tasks to do in a day and imagining doing eight hours a day of something that I don't really love for the rest of my life...'
Zoe continues: 'There's no other option. This has to work.
'This is just going to sound even more artsy and arrogant but I heard this quote in a show once and it said "people like us can't live normal lives, if we try it kills us."
'And honestly I am throwing myself into that category because I think I will simply die.'
The content creator concludes by urging her followers to stream her music to help her 'in the process of literally not dying.'
It has so far been viewed more than 220,000 times and flooded with comments which did not hold back.

One wrote: '"I know this sounds spoiled." You sure got that part right.'
Another added: 'It's giving rich parents.'
And a third simply questioned: 'Is this a joke?'
Zoe has since told Business Insider that she was inspired to make the video because many of her friends were being pushed into taking the 'safe route' by getting a job rather than pursuing their creative passions.
She said: 'I wanted to make a video talking about how I had so much creative passion and I really didn't want to do this thing that the system says that we should do — the 40 hours a week...
'You can rise through the ranks of a company but there is more of a ceiling. When you're working for yourself, in theory, there's no ceiling. You could become the next Billie Eilish tomorrow.'
Reflecting on the wider negative reaction, she said: 'I could have phrased things differently but I'm a 20-year-old in college trying to chase my dreams, and I just kind of wish that that was a little more understood...
'If anything, I'm even more steeled now, because I've got to prove thousands of people wrong.'
