A woman was mortified to find out that the wagyu steak she bought came with an unexpected accompaniment - the cow's death certificate.
Memphis-based Robin Ownby posted a clip to TikTok showing the certificate - in disbelief over the unexpected find.
'Ya'll look at the certificate of authenticity,' Robin, who has three teenage children, exclaimed in the clip, which has been viewed over 7.2 million times.
'We got wagyu steak for my son for this birthday, okay,' she explained in the 30-second clip. 'That's all he asked for.'

She then focused the camera on the certificate, which had all of the cow's details, including the cow's carcass number, weight and when it was born.
'It was 30 months old at harvest,' she wailed, before revealing another heartbreaking feature - a print of the cow's nose.
'They booped its (baby cow) nose,' she said. 'It's a murder certificate! Murder! Oh, god. I'm going to hell.'
'I feel like a huge a**hole,' she captioned the clip. 'Why would they DO that?'
Robin has since made her account private but thousands of people commented on the clip, torn between amused by her hysterical reaction and assuring her she shouldn't feel guilty about her wagyu purchase.
'Look up how traditional wagyu beef cattle are fed and treated, they're living like kings for their entire conscious existence,' one TikTok user wrote.
'He had a better life than any beef you get at the store and authentic wagyu beef you do not have to feel guilty about the harvest,' agreed another.
'Okay the nose boop is out of pocket,' argued one.

'[The nose print] for authenticity but it's also nice to honor the animal that you're about to eat, knowing what your eating beforehand,' a user explained.
'I'd say it's more like an appreciation and remembering the preciousness for it's life and amazing taste,' one quipped.
In a follow-up clip, Robin shared the prepared the delicacy, showing presumably her son slicing the steak on a cutting board.
'[The wagyu steak] basically melts in your mouth. It's really a different experience. Very little chewing required,' she said in a comment.
According to the American Wagyu Association, wagyu is a Japanese beef cattle breed which comes from native Asian cattle.
'Wagyu' refers to all Japanese beef cattle, where 'Wa' means Japanese and 'gyu' means cow.
