New Year, New Baby! New Jersey parents welcome twin boys born on different days in different YEARS after mother went into labor on New Year's Eve

New Jersey parents celebrated the beginning of 2024 by welcoming twin fraternal brothers - who share different birth dates and years. 

Eve and Billy Humphrey welcomed twins Ezra (Baby A) at 11.48pm on December 31, 2023 and younger brother Ezekiel (Baby B) at 12.28am on January 1, 2024 at the Virtua Voorhees Hospital. 

But neither of the boys were meant to be born in such a unique way, as Eve's due date was at the end of January. 

The parents also have another reason to celebrate, as Ezra and Bill, a pastor in Merchantville, now share the same birthday.

The joyous mother told ABC6: 'Once he [Ezra] was born you know, thinking of the tax write-off, I was like, 'Maybe we can get another tax write-off!

'I was still pushing when everyone's doing the countdown and we just all said, "Happy New Year" in the middle of me trying to push out Baby B.

'Seeing them in person and seeing their faces - they're so cute. I'm so glad they're healthy.

'I think it's going to be hard for them to convince people. They're going to ask when's your birthday. One's going to say December. One's going to say January. 

'Then, they're going to say, 'We're twins,' and people are going to say, 'You're lying.

'We get one tax write off this year, one extra, and then we’ll get another one next year.' Eve said.

According to Billy, Ezra sleeps a lot while Ezekiel loves to keep moving

'I was still pushing when everyone's doing the countdown and we just all said, "Happy New Year" in the middle of me trying to push out Baby B,' Eve said

The equally happy father said he was very excited at the possibility of sharing his birthday with both of his twins. 

'When she woke me up the morning of New Year’s Eve, she said "happy birthday", I think my water broke. I need to go to the doctor.

'I'm like - what a great birthday gift! I get two boys on my birthday. We came in early enough on that day that I was thinking, "Okay, maybe this is going to happen?"

'Having even one kid on your birthday, how rare and just really cool to have that moment we can now share,' Billy said.

He also shared a picture of himself with the twins with the caption: 'The boys are here! And they’re so special; they couldn’t even share being born in the same year'

The parents already have another son named Hezekiah, who celebrates his birthday on January 3. They celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary in December

Billy also commented on how both children were already polar opposites of each other.

The parents already have another son named Hezekiah, who celebrates his birthday on January 3. 

'In four days, we have four birthdays… the three kids and me,' Billy said. 

The couple celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary in December.
