Fresh off scoring the winning touchdown, Hardman got in front of the camera to send a message to fans.

With the notable exception of his furious sideline outburst at Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, the only peep Kelce made over the first two quarters was a single catch on a single target for a single yard.

Then the man known to many as Mr. Taylor Swift started making noise. It wasn't overwhelming production — nine catches for 93 yards — but for the Chiefs and their emotional leader, it was a turning point.

The San Francisco 49ers defense that had stifled Kansas City in the first half suddenly became vulnerable, the relentless pass rush of Nick Bosa and Chase Young slowed down somewhat, and the breaks that had been going against the Chiefs suddenly went in their favor.

Unfortunately for the large crowd gathered around him at the time, they might have got a bit damp.

Hardman's touchdown sparked wild celebrations in the suite housing Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's family.

Swift was mobbed by her friends and family as they went crazy together.

It promises to be an emotional night for them all as they celebrate Travis winning his third Super Bowl ring.

What a performance from Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in overtime.

Mecole Hardman is the hero. Patrick Mahomes finds his receiver in the end zone, sparking absolute bedlam inside Allegiant Stadium.

Mahomes then throws to Kelce.

The big tight end needs about five defenders to get him to the ground but he still picks up the 1st down.

Pacheco takes the ball on 1st down and takes the Chiefs down to the 10-yard line.

Pacheco steams down the field but comes up just short of the 1st down.

They are 3rd&1 but Mahomes shows no sign of panic.

He explodes through a gap, goes past another defender before sliding to the floor.

Brandon Aiyuk has been quiet tonight but he comes up with the first down here.

Just when it looked like the Chiefs had done enough to force a punt, McDuffie is penalized for holding.

The 49ers get a fresh set of downs.

On the opening possesion of overtime, Purdy's loose pass goes loose and is almost picked off the by the Chiefs.

Fortunately for the quarterback it bounces just before and he escapes.

For just the second time in NFL history, the Super Bowl is headed to overtime.

The Chiefs have officially designated wide receiver Kadarius Toney as inactive for the Super Bowl.

Toney has not played since Week 15 against the Patriots on December 17, when he tipped a pass directly into the hands of a New England defender.

Taylor Swift has landed in Las Vegas to begin her Super Bowl festivities, after hot-footing it from her Eras Tour show in Tokyo - all in the name of boyfriend Travis Kelce.

The pop superstar touched down at Harry Reid Airport in Vegas a few minutes before 4pm EST - 1pm local time - and two-and-a-half hours before the game begins.

The 2024 Super Bowl or Super Bowl LVIII will be contested by Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers, led by Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy.

The game will kick off at 6:30pm ET, 3:30pm PT and 11:30pm UK time, and there will be three anthems performed before kick-off.

Rap sensation Post Malone will perform America the Beautiful, Andra Day will sing Lift Every Voice and Sing and Reba McEntire will sing the American National Anthem.

R&B icon Usher is set to perform the Super Bowl half-time show, taking up the duties from Rihanna at last year’s event. While he will not be paid for the performance, Usher is expected to release a new album shortly.

Speaking to CBS, the Chiefs coach said: 'We've got to make sure we play well up front on both sides of the ball.

'Defense has been doing a great job and they'll need to do that again. This is a very good offense and our own offense is going to have to produce. It's going to be one hell of a competition.'
