Relatives of a second gunman charged with murder over the Kansas City Super Bowl parade set up two fundraisers for ‘hospital bills’, as he is pictured for the first time.
Jamie Batres, 39, launched a cash appeal on Classful to get her to and from the hospital to visit her son, alleged killer Dominic Miller, 18, along with two photos of him lying seriously ill in his hospital bed.
Miller’s sister, Haylee Scott, 22, also set up a GoFundMe begging for help with hospital bills as ‘times would be tough’. It raised $85 before it was removed.
Family of Lyndell Mays, the other adult charged, also set up a page on the same site, although that has also now been disabled. Mays, 23, is now out of the hospital.
He was among those injured at the February 14 celebration when he was shot once in the stomach. He underwent surgery at University Health Truman Medical Center.
Dominic Miller's family used this picture of him to try to drum up cash through GoFundMe. The page has now been disabled and on Tuesday Miller was charged with second degree murder

A second man, Lyndell Mays, 23, has also been charged with murder. He is pictured in a mug shot from an earlier arrest for showing a handgun during an argument over a girl
Batres, who received no donations towards her $1,000 goal, described her son as ‘fighting for his life’ in the initial aftermath of the shooting, but prosecutors deemed him well enough to be charged in connection with the horrific bloodbath.
She wrote on Classful: ‘Kansas City Chiefs victim 18 years old fighting for his life. Mother is from Wichita Kansas and needs help with a hotel, food, transportation to get back and forth to the hospital.
‘He is still in ICU fighting for his life.’
Miller’s grandfather Donald Trent confirmed to DailyMail.com that he remains in the hospital after being shot once in the abdomen.
He said: ‘He’s up and walking around, he’s doing well after he had surgery. We don’t want to comment any further as it’s an ongoing investigation.’
Other relatives told DailyMail.com that they haven’t been able to see Miller in the hospital since he was formally charged, and they are currently unsure of his whereabouts.
Marques Harris, who was shot in the jaw, told Fox4KC that Miller was trying to protect him from Mays
Miller posted several pictures, seen by DailyMail.com, of himself with handguns alongside other people across his social media – going by the name ‘Glockuser Domo’.
On Tuesday, Miller was charged with second-degree murder over last week's shooting which killed local radio DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan.
He remains in a stable condition in hospital and is being held under armed guard, with bail set at $1m.
Prosecutors say Miller is the one who fired the fatal shot which killed Lisa, but also charged Mays with murder alleging he pulled out his gun and fired first in the incident which prosecutors say injured 25.
Mays's sister refuted the allegations, telling DailyMail.com that Mays was 'innocent' and 'protecting' her.
Friends of Miller also claim that he was a victim in the shooting, saying that he only fired back after Mays attacked their group.
Marques Harris claims that Mays ‘stared down’ his 15-year-old friend before pulling his gun and shot him through the jaw.
He told FOX4 that Miller shouldn’t have been charged as he was acting in self-defense – only shooting after Mays had fired the first shot.
Court documents obtained by DailyMail.com show that Miller admitted being in possession of a Taurus G3 9mm handgun.

He told officers that he was being shot at so returned fire, estimating he used around four to five bullets but was ‘uncertain if he struck the individual he was shooting at. Miller added that he did not see anyone else armed at the time of the shooting.
Mays previously faced charges for another gun-related crime, recently getting released from two years of probation.
He was accused of showing a handgun during a dispute while playing basketball at a community center in Belton, Missouri, during an argument ‘over a girl’, according to court documents.
Both Mays and Miller are being treated at University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City where they are under 24/7 guard
Both Miller and Mays have also been charged with armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon following the shooting on Valentine’s Day at the parade for the winners of Super Bowl LVIII.
If found guilty, the two could face life behind bars. They are being held on $1,000,000 bonds. They both remain in hospital under round-the-clock guard.
Mays told officers that he only shot once or twice, adding: ‘Just pulled a gun out and started shooting. I shouldn’t have done that. Just being stupid.’
A Glock handgun found close to Mays when he was taken to hospital in a pool of blood was recovered by officers, with court documents revealing it had been stolen.
At least 30 people were injured in the shooting, which saw one person killed and 25 suffering gunshot wounds. Police confirmed those injured range in age from eight to 47, half of them under the age of 16.

Dominic Miller (left) and Lyndell Mays are being held along with two unidentified juveniles for the carnage that rocked the parade. Prosecutors say more suspects are being sought
Mays and Miller are not the two juveniles that had been charged with gun-related offenses and resisting arrest last week. They have not been identified.
Jean Peters Baker, prosecutor for Jackson County added that they were 'not done yet' and that a number of other suspects who were involved in the shooting are being sought.
Tributes have poured in for mother-of-two Lisa, the local radio disc jockey who passed away during emergency surgery after sustaining a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Her devastated family thanked Jackson County Prosecutors office and Kansas City Police in a new statement on Tuesday following the charges.
They added: ‘The effort and dedicated hours spent to expeditiously investigate this senseless act of violence is extremely commendable.
‘It is reassuring for our family and the entire community to know that this joint team effort has resulted in the identification of the suspects involved.
‘Though it does not bring back our beloved Lisa, it is comforting to know that the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office and the KCPD made it a top priority to seek justice for Lisa, the other shooting victims, those who had to witness this tragedy unfold and the Kansas City community.’
Counseling sessions have been set up on Wednesday for those affected by the shooting, with police urging anyone injured in the shooting, including those who were trampled, to contact police to assist with enquiries.
