The price of an NFL playoff game continues to spike for a league coming off its most-watched Super Bowl ever.
Amazon Prime will pay upwards of $150 million for exclusive rights to a postseason game at the end of the 2024 campaign, a source with knowledge of the deal told DailyMail.com. The Wall Street Journal previous reported that Prime had won exclusive rights to a single playoff game.
The nine-figure price tag eclipses the $110 million NBC paid last season for exclusive rights to an AFC Wild Card game, which was broadcast on the network’s streaming service, Peacock.
And while fans certainly voiced their displeasure over Peacock’s subscription fees, viewership didn’t appear to suffer: The game averaged 23 million viewers to rank as the most-watched live-streamed event in US history.
In fact, the Chiefs-Dolphins playoff game from Kansas City actually beat a comparable Wild Card matchup from the previous season, which averaged 21.8 million viewers, according to Front Office Sports.

NFL spokespeople declined to comment on the deal, while spokespeople for Amazon did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com's request for comment.
The NFL currently has four broadcast partners — NBC, CBS, Fox and ESPN/ABC — all of whom get at least one Wild Card game under the current deal. One of the two remaining games rotate between NBC, CBS and Fox, while the other goes up for bid.
Prime Video averaged 11.86 million viewers per game in its second season of airing Thursday Night Football in 2023, according to Nielsen. That marks a 24-percent increase from its inaugural season with exclusive rights to Thursday Night Football.
The success also triggered some performance clauses, which allows Prime to air a playoff game, according to the Associated Press.
Super Bowl LVIII had an average of 123.4million viewers, making it the most watched telecast in US history.
Taylor Swift's influence on the Super Bowl likely helped the television ratings for women as well, with five million more female viewers tuning in for the championship game than last year's Super Bowl.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has also credited his girlfriend, Swift, for the NFL's rise in popularity among women.

The Chiefs, flanked by support from Taylor Swift for her tight-end boyfriend Travis Kelce, defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in a gripping overtime win to merge victorious in the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
Only the Apollo 11 Moon landing was watched by more people in history, with an estimated average of between 125-150million viewing the 1969 event live between multiple networks.
On CBS itself, 120million people watched the game, the largest audience in history for a single network. Incredibly, more than 200million viewers watched at least part of the Super Bowl across all networks and streams that were broadcasting the game.
