Adam Montgomery has been found guilty of the murder of his five-year-old daughter Harmony.
A jury found the New Hampshire father, 34, guilty of second-degree murder and abuse of a corpse among other charges after six hours of deliberation following a two-week trial.
Montgomery repeatedly punched the helpless child in the face after she had a bathroom accident while sleeping in the car in December 2019.
Montgomery and his wife Kayla then took opioids and ate fast food as she died of her injuries on the backseat.
He faces life imprisonment with no chance of parole, and will be sentenced at a later date. The young child's body has still not been found and she wasn't reported missing until years after the incident.

Harmony's mother, Crystal Sorey, who did not have custody of her daughter, called Montgomery a 'coward' following the verdict.
'He's a coward. He's a coward, he's always been a coward' she told reporters outside court.
'That's why he did what he did. He took her away from the people that loved her because he couldn't hack that he didn't have control. That's all he cared about, control, everything in his life. She wasn't anything to him' she explained.

'This is not a day we celebrate,' the adoptive parents of Harmony's brother Jamison said in a statement.
'It is a day that only adds to the incredible pain and heartache that surrounds a little girl who was never given a chance' Blair and Johnathon Miller, who were attempting to assume care for Harmony at the time.
'Jamison would go to the front door, hoping Harmony would find us, he would search for her in a park' they said.
Adding: 'As we now dig deep within our hearts to find the ability to offer forgiveness, we look to our son to give him the strength to fight off the demons that this tragedy has brought for a lifetime.'
New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu described Montgomery as a 'monster' that 'deserved to spend the rest of his life in prison.'
'I am grateful to the judge, jury, and Department of Justice for delivering justice for Harmony' the Republican wrote on X.

During the trial prosecutors described how the child-killer moved Harmony's body from container to container and place to place as her body decayed.
The locations included the trunk of a friend's car, a cooler in the hallway of his mother-in-law's apartment building, the ceiling vent of a homeless shelter and an apartment freezer.
Montgomery's estranged wife Kayla, stepmother to Harmony, said at one point the body was kept in a tote bag from a hospital maternity ward, according to the same report.
Kayla, who is reported to have been there at the time of the murder, said she placed the tote bag in between her own young children in a stroller and brought it to her husband's workplace.
Investigators described how Montgomery finally disposed of the body in early March 2020 with a rented moving truck.
Toll data shows the truck in question crossed the Tobin Bridge in Boston multiple times but there is no other highway data to help police identify the whereabouts of the body.
Harmony was only reported missing in 2022 when her mother, Crystal Sorey, who did not have custody of the child, discovered she had never been enrolled in school

Prosecutor Ben Agati labelled Montgomery as an 'enraged titan' for his heinous crime.
He said: 'Adam Montgomery was no loving father. He was an enraged titan who had no business being around Harmony.
'On the day of Harmony's death, all he had was his car, his rage, his fists. After he learns Harmony, soiled herself in the car.
'He took her life in rage over a bathroom accident.'
Montgomery is reported to have told his wife Kayla: 'I think I really hurt her this time' after the fatal punch - and went on to say: 'I felt something'.

Manchester police declared her a missing person in December 2022.
A Massachusetts watchdog agency later found that the state's child welfare system did not prioritize Harmony's 'needs, well-being and safety' in placing her in her father's care.
