Alex Rodriguez has hilariously admitted he got his extreme tan after falling asleep in the sun while on vacation.
The baseball legend's tan went viral on Friday night after he appeared at a Minnesota Timberwolves game - with fans giving his look several hilarious comparisons.
Rodriguez, who agreed in 2021 to become the co-owner of the Timberwolves, looked different than usual as he sat courtside with his girlfriend Jaclyn Cordeiro and ESPN's Stephen A. Smith.
Now Rodriguez, who used to be engaged to Jennifer Lopez, has revealed just what happened.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday night, he said: 'Alright everybody. I know that I'm dark but I am Dominican and I went on vacation and I fell asleep in the sun.'

And fans had a field day with his darker complexion as they likened him to Donald Trump, Ross from Friends and even a baked potato.
'We all show our support for Trump in our way,' one person wrote on X, in reference to the former president's infamous orange skin tone at times.
Another said, 'Alex Rodriguez on TV looking like a baked potato.'
And a different fan joked, 'Alex Rodriguez does indeed count Mississippi,' referencing a 'Friends' episode where Ross gets a spray tan.

And fans had plenty of jokes online about the former Yankee star's appearance

Three years ago, Rodriguez and businessman Marc Lore struck a deal to buy the T-Wolves for $1.5billion.
The deal has not yet been finalized, with the pair paying that sum incrementally, but they're expected to become the franchise's owners later this year.
As a player, Rodriguez was a three-time MVP and won the 2009 World Series with the Yankees.
He last played in 2016.
Minnesota, meanwhile lost Friday's contest to the Bucks 112-107.
