A woman who was sold as a newborn for drugs shared her harrowing life story in a heartbreaking viral video that has reached more than 4million views.
Kat Lively, 30, a podcaster who currently lives in Los Angeles, was sold for drugs by her parents to a 'random couple' in Colorado when she was just three months old in October 1993.
'I've experienced and navigated so much at my young age, but I've risen from the ashes,' Lively told Newsweek.
Her biological parents then notified Lively's grandparents about her and claimed that she was 'gone' and that they didn't know where she went. That sparked the grandparents to launch a massive hunt and rescue the newborn.
'I was born in 1993 to two people who should have never conceived a child. They couldn't even take care of a mouse,' she said in the video.

Lively was found by her grandfather, Ron Walters, in December after he drove from California to Denver, 'camped out in his van' and informed law enforcement about his granddaughter.
The newborn was found in a home of the couple that traded drugs for her. She was then placed in her grandparent's care and moved to California. She said she refers to her grandparents as her mom and dad.
'My grandparents are the only parents that deserve the title mom and dad,' she said.
After he found her, and brought her home for Christmas Eve, her grandparents legally adopted her in 1999.
Between the ages of 11 and 12, Lively was hit with two unimaginable losses, as her grandmother died and her adoptive brother, who was technically her uncle, suddenly passed.
In another video posted to her TikTok, Lively said that her adoptive brother died at the age of 22 when she was just 11.
'As this was happening, my grandmother was in the hospital receiving a double lung transplant at UCLA in Los Angeles,' she said.
'So, she had two brand new lungs and two days after she had surgery, while she was in recovery, she received the phone call that her baby boy, her son, passed away.'
A year later, Kathy - Lively's 'mom' - started to experience lung transplant rejection and got very sick. She died when Lively was 12 years old.
Lively said following their deaths, she 'rebelled' and was 'angry all the time' as a teenager.
She moved out at 16 and traveled around the country, crashing with other family members.
Lively has gone on to produce her own podcast 'Calling Old Hollywood', where she interviews 'legends' in film, TV and music history in a 'sentimental deep dive'

'People always ask me: "How did you not get into drugs or crime, or how did you not go the other way?" And, it's a very simple answer- I was sold for drugs at three months old.
'There's something that that has done mentally that has kept me away. I've made vows for myself not to go down the dark roads,' she added.
Her grandfather died in September and she has gone on to use her experience with loss and grief to create an online presence to share with others.
In an Instagram post dedicated to him, Lively said: 'Saturday the 23rd my best friend, my Dad took his last breath as I sat beside his bed while I held his hand and sang one of his and I's favorite songs, "God only know" by the Beach Boys.'
'He instilled self-respect, morals, integrity, stubborn ambition, and the conviction to never settle,' she added.
'The love of my grandfather, my adoptive father, saved my life following my surreal arrival into the world,' Lively told Newsweek.
As she's moved since his passing, Lively has tried to shift her focus on using her story to help others.
'My mission now with sharing my story on social media, and building a community online, is to help and inspire other people.'
In her adult life, Lively met her biological parents but admitted that she realized that she 'wasn't missing much,' after the couple visited her multiple times.
She said she was told that her mother could stay at a high-end rehab facility in Malibu for free as a favor from a friend.
'And she declined. She declined. So, if that doesn't tell you what I'm not missing- that's what I have to say about that.'

AL.com described Lively as a 'sucker for an origin story,' who is more interested in the rich history of film.
