The man behind the viral 'who tf did I marry' TikTok series has unmasked himself - and he responded to his ex-wife's claims that he's a 'pathological liar and narcissist' by accusing her of cheating on him.

Earlier this month, a Georgia-based woman who goes by ReesaTeesa online became a viral sensation after she shared the wild story of how she discovered that her husband was actually a 'master manipulator' who had conned her into a romance with false promises of hidden wealth.

Reesa broke down every step of the tumultuous relationship and detailed how she had slowly uncovered the immense 'layers of lies' that her ex had used to trick her into marrying him through a 50-part series - and the shocking tale completely captured the nation.

Now, Reesa's ex has seemingly addressed her claims about him, and he vehemently denied that he was to blame for the dissolvement of their marriage.

He branded her as the 'liar,' and insisted that they went their separate ways because he 'caught' her getting intimate with another man, named Bradley.

Throughout Reesa's videos - which have racked up a combined 31.2 million views - she refrained from using her ex's real name, but instead, just referred to him as 'Legion'

Throughout Reesa's videos - which have racked up a combined 31.2 million views - she refrained from using her ex's real name, but instead, just referred to him as 'Legion.'

But soon after her story went viral, many people on the web claimed that they had uncovered his real identity; they said Legion was a man named Jerome JC Rome McCoy, and screenshots of his Facebook profile quickly took over the video streaming site.

Then, Jerome uploaded a clip to his Facebook allegedly confirming that he was indeed the man in Reesa's story - and he had a very different tale to tell.

'I'm gonna address the rumors... ReesaTeesa, my ex-wife, is straight lying to y'all,' he said.

'It's sad because it's completely false. She's lying about everything. All that stuff she said, it's complete lies.

'My message to her is, please stop lying to people. You can tell them the real reason I left you - you cheated.

'I caught you in the house with Bradley. We went to marriage counseling and it didn't work and we broke up.'

But many people on social media were not convinced with his response. His Facebook video has since been re-shared to TikTok by numerous accounts, where it's garnered thousands of comments from people who don't believe him.

'Legion you can’t fool us,' one person responded. Another agreed, 'He just looks like he's lying.'

'In Reesa we trust,' wrote someone else, while a different user added, 'The way the lies just roll out of his mouth.'

'Bradly is definitely one of his personalities,' read a fourth comment.

A fifth said, 'Nah, this man has gotta see the psych ward ASAP.'

Another woman who was allegedly married to Jerome before he met Reesa has also spoken out amid the sudden spotlight on the situation, and she branded him as a 'despicable, nasty, and vile individual.'

The woman, named LaToya Averett, explained in a TikTok video of her own, 'I'm going to address the elephant in the room because it's been brought to my attention that my ex-husband is out here in these streets disturbing individuals as he always has.

'Legion, as you all call him, is a despicable, nasty, and vile individual. I too, fell for the trap.'

LaToya said that Jerome was extremely 'charming' when they first met, and would use 'love bombing' to 'manipulate' her.

Similar to Reesa, she said he would promise to buy her expensive things like nice cars and fancy mansions - but never did.

'All of these things were said to me and guess what? None of it happened,' she continued.

'This man is a pathological liar, he gave up all types of promises to cars and houses just like Reesa. But none of that ever came to be.'

LaToya said that after she unraveled his lies, she became 'afraid for her life' and called the situation 'traumatic as hell for her.'

In the end, however, she said she was able to leave him - but she said he tried to 'ruin her life' after they went their separate ways.

'He had my own family members turned against me because he told lies about me, things of that nature,' she revealed. 'Unfortunately he's very, very good at what he does.'

LaToya insisted that that she has now closed that 'chapter in her life,' explaining that she has since 'moved on' and is happily remarried after doing 'a lot of work' to get over what Jerome had done to her.

'It's been more than 10 years, I'm over it, I'm done. I'm good. So after I say this, let's just leave it alone,' she concluded.

'It took me many years to get past that but I have healed. I feel bad for anybody that he comes in contact with. He needs serious mental help, he needs to be evaluated and be locked away.

'It took me time, but Reesa, I pray you get the healing that you need. This situation is not easy. Move forward, it's possible to find true love after all this trauma.

'I'm done. I'm not a victim, I got out and I moved on. He's out of my life, I don't want anything to do with him.'

In an update, LaToya revealed that she had done a livestream on her Facebook to discuss the situation further - but that 'despicable and disgusting' Jerome attempted to join it.

'You're not going to tell your lying a** side of the story on my platform. You will never get that chance,' she said in a message to her ex.

She added, 'Him trying to be on my show triggered me really bad but I'm gonna go back to healing and block him, he'll never be able to come back on my show ever. He'll never be able to control my narrative ever again.'

In her 50-part video series, Reesa explained that she and 'Legion' started talking through a Facebook dating site in March 2020, and that they hit it off immediately.

She said he told her he was a graduate from San Diego State University and a former Arena football player who had just moved to Georgia from California because his job had transferred him.

At the time, he claimed to be a 'regional manager at a condiment company' and that he had just gone through a divorce because he had caught his ex-wife cheating on him.

She said they would talk on the phone for hours before they eventually decided to go on their first date at Cheesecake Factory, which she said 'went really well.'

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit soon after, she said they made the decision to quarantine together at her home since they were 'talking every day.'

'I know it was crazy but I really liked him. Things moved at a rapid, rapid pace,' she explained. 'He was telling me everything that I wanted to hear.'

She said that soon after he moved into her house, he started paying her rent and all of the household bills.

'It was intoxicating to not have to worry financially about paying the pills. It was a wonderful feeling,' she added.

After one month together, Reesa said that Legion suggested they start looking for a 'family home' to buy together.

At the time, she said he showed her a letter he had from Chase which said he had been approved for a $750,000 mortgage.

She explained that he had told her that he had made a good chunk of money playing Arena Football, but that his earnings were in 'different savings accounts' with various banks.

But soon after they began to search for a new abode, however, Reesa said things got extremely weird.

She recalled how they fell in love with a five-bedroom, four-bathroom, 4,600-square-foot house that was located in Douglasville, Georgia, which they decided to put an offer on.

She said that he told her that their offer had been approved, and that they would be able to move in by June.

But she said she spoke to the realtor a few days later, and he had no idea that they had made an offer.

'In true narcissistic nature, Legion flipped the script and goes off on the realtor, like, "He shouldn't be calling you, if he had a question he should have called me because I'm the one on the mortgage,"' she recalled.

Reesa explained that Legion told her he had put the offer in with a 'friend of his who was a realtor so he could give him the business' instead of the realtor she thought they were working with.

Even so, she said they started buying new appliances like a fridge, stove, and microwave, so she '100 per cent believed' the house would be theirs.

'I watched him pay, he put down a deposit on a whole new set of appliances at Home Depot, and they said they were gonna hold them until we were ready for delivery,' she continued.

She claimed that the man, who she referred to as 'Legion,' said he was the vice president of a condiment company - but she later found out that he was actually unemployed

But come May 2020, she said he started to make a slew of excuses about the house like, 'Because of COVID they're still trying to get the inspection done,' and, 'The guy they had caught COVID so now they're gonna have to get someone else, and he's like 15 houses backed up.'

'He had an answer for everything,' she said, adding that while she started to suspect that something was up, she would tell herself, 'You saw him pay for the appliances.'

'I remember saying to myself, "Why would he lie about that? This is so easy to verify. Have you caught him in any other lie?" At the time, the answer was no,' she told her viewers.

'I remember thinking, "What if we don't get this house? What if he's lying?" But who makes up that they're buying a house when they're not?

'There was always an excuse with him and I didn't know enough about the process to question stuff.

'I really wasn't involved the way I should have been. But it was giving me a lot of anxiety.'

Around that same time, she also discovered that she was pregnant with their first child.

In early June, however, Reesa said she looked up the house on Realtor.com, saw that it was listed as 'off the market,' called the realtor, and discovered it had been sold to someone else.

'That's when I realized that he was lying about it being under contract. But I had a decision to make,' she said.

'I thought, "You're about to have a baby with this man, he's paying all the household bills, let him get out of the lie." So that's what I did.

'I knew he was going to give me some bulls**t on why he couldn't buy the house but he didn't know that I knew the house was already sold. Most women in their right mind would have been out but I wasn't.'

She said Legion ultimately told her that it fell through because something had 'gone wrong with the interest rate.'

Over the next few months, the couple endured many more hardships. Reesa said she suffered from a horrific miscarriage that resulted in her needing surgery, and many more homes that she set her heart on would mysteriously fall through.

By fall of 2020, however, she said things started looking up after Legion told her that he had been promoted to vice president of his company.

But she noticed that he wouldn't 'dress like a VP' when he went to work, but instead, she said he looked more like he was doing 'manual labor.'

Around Thanksgiving in 2020, Reesa said Legion suggested they get married.

'He was like, "OK, I know I f**ked up and things aren't feeling too strong right now but I want us to get married. I will show you whatever you need to see to put you at ease to show I'm in this and want this and love you. I want you to be my wife,"' she revealed.

They married at a local court house in January 2021, but two weeks after they officially became husband and wife, she said things 'changed' drastically, and Legion became extremely paranoid and jealous.

'Suddenly, little comments were made. He'd say, "Why are you wearing that to work?" And, "If you get off at 3:30 you better be home at 5."' she said.

'He had never questioned what time I'd be home before. Then it turned into... He would call me every day from work and if he even heard a male's voice in the background he would make comments like, "Who's that? Why is he in your office? I don't like not knowing who's around you. It seems like every time I call you there's some man around."

She also said he would act like he was rich and went through extreme measures to make her believe his lies - only to come up with bizarre excuses when it came time to make purchases

'At first I laughed it off because it was so absurd to me but then it became more frequent.

'I didn't know if it was some insecurity or jealousy but nothing I ever did should have made him feel insecure, I never flirted with another guy or entertained the thought of another guy. I didn't know where it was coming from.'

Things came to a head when she got a new job in May 2021, and was asked to provide her spouse's social security number.

After he gave it to her, she decided to use it to run a background check on him - and suddenly, his elaborate con began to come to the surface.

She quickly discovered that he had never actually lived in California or attended San Diego State.

She also found the name of his ex-wife on the background check, which she used to uncover their divorce papers.

Through the divorce papers, she saw that he had filed a 'Paupers Affidavit' with the court, which she explained means he 'was so poor he couldn't afford to pay the fees for the divorce,' and that a grocery store was listed as his employer.

Reesa said her final straw came in June 2021 after she looked through Legion's phone while he was sleeping and found out he had been cheating on her. Finally, she decided to confront him.

'I said to him, "You never went to San Diego State did you? You never lived in California did you?" His eyes were empty, he wasn't shocked,' she recalled.

'I was very calm. I said, "I don't think this is gonna work." And he said, "So what are you saying? You don't want to be married anymore?"

'And I said, "Yes, I don't want to be married to you anymore. We need to go our separate ways. I don't want you, and I don't want this."

'He said, "I'm not giving up on us," and I said, "I don't think you have a choice. You need to pack a bag and get the f**k out of my house."'

Reesa explained that Legion went to live with his aunt and she filed for divorce soon after.

While going through his stuff after he moved out, she said she found a pile of paperwork that included a document that said he had been fired from his job months ago.

It also listed his position as a 'forklift loader' and not a regional manager or vice president like he had told her.

In addition, she said she discovered that he previously did 'jail time,' but she did not specify what he had been arrested for.

In her video, LaToya claimed that Jerome had been arrested for 'impersonating a police officer.'

And things didn't end there for Reesa and Legion. Soon after he signed the divorce papers, Reesa said he started 'harassing her' and telling her that he was 'ready to come home.'

'He was calling me 30 times in one hour. He would start at 7 in the morning and would not stop calling until 10 at night,' she revealed.

She said she decided to reach out to 'local law enforcement,' who ran his name through their database - and discovered there was a warrant out for his arrest.

He eventually showed up at her house, and she called the police who came and arrested him, but she said he was released from jail soon after.

Thankfully, she said she was able to get the divorce finalized, moved to a new house, changed her number, and attempted to 'start over.'

In December 2021, however, Reesa said Legion started calling her job and asking for 'information on how to reach her.'

She said he even contacted her family members, stating that he wanted to talk to her because she had stuff of his that he needed back.

She said she sent him one final message through Facebook - and never heard from him again.

She revealed, '[The message] said, "I have nothing that belongs to you. You are disrupting my job by calling and asking for me. I will send you a copy of the divorce agreement that says that whatever is in your possession you own and whatever is in my possession I own. If you contact me directly or indirectly ever again I will get a restraining order on you.

'That was the last time I had any contact with my pathological liar ex-husband.'

Reesa has not addressed Jerome's response, nor has she confirmed whether or not he is the man that she was talking about.

She did, however, post a follow-up asking her followers to not to 'engage' with her ex.

'If you're curious as to who he is, I get it,' she said. 'But please don't engage because the engagement can turn antagonizing, and this person is not well. So just don't. Don't antagonize.'
