The head of the National Border Patrol Council on Monday slammed President Joe Biden for blatant electioneering, accusing him only deciding to visit the southern frontier with Mexico because he is trailing in the polls.
Brandon Judd said the president, who will be visiting Brownsville, Texas, on Thursday was not even going to the right place
'He's had three years to do something,' Judd, who represents 17,000 Border Patrol agents told DailyMail.com soon after the trip was announced.
'And now that he knows that he's being hurt very badly in the polls, because of the crisis that he caused, he's now going to the border.'
If Biden really had done everything he could, added Judd, why would he need to go?

People cross the Rio Grande river to turn themselves in Brownsville, Texas, to authorities to begin their immigration process
The border crisis moves front and center of the election campaign this week. Both Biden and his likely Republican challenger Donald Trump announced plans to visit different parts of Texas on the same day.
Judd said Biden would not see what was really happening.
'He's not even going to the right place,' he said. 'He's going to Brownsville, Texas - the Rio Grande Valley has been very slow for the past, 11, 12 months.
'Right now, where we're seeing the worst of it is in the Tucson sector, in the San Diego sector, yet he's choosing to go to Brownsville.'
It will be Biden second visit to the border as president. He traveled to El Paso in January last year after local officials had cleaned up the migrant camps.
Earlier a White House official revealed plans for the second visit.
He said the president will meet with U.S. Border Patrol agents, law enforcement, and local leaders.
'He will discuss the urgent need to pass the Senate bipartisan border security agreement, the toughest and fairest set of reforms to secure the border in decades,' the official said.
It came after details had already emerged of a planned Trump visit to Eagle Pass.
The Trump campaign ridiculed Biden.
President Joe Biden made a fleeting visit to the border in El Paso, Texas, in January last year
'Crooked Joe Biden has had three years to visit the border and fix the crisis he created,' said spokesperson Karoline Leavitt.
'Now Biden’s handlers are sending him there on the same day as President Trump’s publicly reported trip, not because they actually want to solve the problem, but because they know Biden is losing terribly.'
Judd said a trip to Eagle Pass made more sense because Trump will be able to see what Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has been doing there with razor wire and floating barriers.
'Since Texas has stepped in and ctaken control of that area, we've seen a fourfold drop in the number of illegal crossings,' he said.
'So he's going there to see hey, what works? What are you doing? What's working?'
