DJ Khaled has challenged Rory McIlroy to nine holes ahead of 'The Match' in Florida, where the disc jokey provided commentary for the ninth edition of the made-for-TV charity event.
On Monday, a 12-hole skins game was held between McIlroy, Max Homa, Rose Zhang, and Lexi Thompson at Park City Municipal Golf Course in West Palm Beach.
In addition to DJ Khaled, 'The Match' featured commentary from six-time Emmy-winner Ernie Johnson and former NHL player Paul Bissonnette. Kathryn Tappen and Christina Kim also served as commentators at the event.
But before the game even started, DJ Khaled, whose real name is Khaled Mohammed Khaled, revealed he wanted to test his drive against nobody else but the 34-year-old McIlroy - a four-time major champion.
'Yo Rory, when me and you going toe-for-toe on the golf course?' said the 'All I Do Is Win' hitmaker at first before pondering on the number of holes they would play.

'That's right... when me and you going to be on the golf course to play 18 together... 9...let's play 9...let's play 9...just for fun and for me to be around greatness so I can perfect my game.
'When can I have the opportunity to play with you?'
DJ Khaled, who was pulled over by local police in Miami while riding in his golf cart barefoot, earlier this month, later defeated NBA legend Charles Barkley in a best of three holes match.
Regarding the record producer's proposal to face off, McIlroy said on TV: 'I like that you went from 18 to 9 nine there, to start off.
'Anytime, anytime you want to come up here to Palm Beach, I'll drive down to Miami. We'll play. Yeah, I'd love that.
'[...] I knew he was obviously going to be involved tonight so I had a DJ Khaled playlist going on the course today.
