Miranda and Evan's choice of name for their newborn son may well be a touching tribute to the model's beloved grandfather, Peter, who passed away in February 2021 after a battle with cancer.
At the time, Miranda described her grandpa as the family’s 'rock', adding in a heartfelt statement that 'his spirit will continue to live through our family and all those he loved'.
Alongside the heartwarming announcement, Miranda shared a sweet image of a blue blanket embroidered with her newborn son's name, as well as an adorable pair of yellow knit baby booties and a bouquet of flowers.
Miranda and Evan, who tied the knot in 2017, now have three sons together - baby Pierre, five-year-old Hart, and four-year-old Myles - and the model and businesswoman also shares a fourth son, Flynn, 13, with her former husband Orlando Bloom.
The birth of baby Pierre comes nearly six months after Miranda announced that she and Evan were expecting another child together - sharing the joyful news in a social media post on September 1.
At the time, the fashion star shared a series of sweet images of herself proudly showing off her growing baby bump, while writing: 'So excited to announce baby 4.'
Since then, Miranda has shared several sweet glimpses into her pregnancy, documenting her growing baby bump in a series of social media posts – as well as several photo shoots, including a stunning appearance in Vanity Fair Italia back in December.
The wellness expert also opened up about her pregnancy cravings in an interview with the Daily Telegraph, revealing that she'd found herself lusting after fresh citrus fruits and lemon water.

Miranda first hinted that she and Evan were considering expanding their brood in 2022, when she told Vogue Australia that the couple were 'open' to welcoming more children in the future
'With one of the boys, I craved apples, another frozen yoghurt – and now I am craving oranges,' she shared. 'With another one, I was like, "Please give me a burger!"'
Miranda also showed off her burgeoning baby bump in a stunning shoot for her natural beauty brand Kora Organics in order to promote her range of pregnancy essentials as part of a collaboration with popular maternity wear brand Bumpsuit.
In behind-the-scenes video from the shoot, the mom-of-four could be seen posing in a black maternity bodysuit, while holding a bottle of her brand's Noni Glow Body Oil.
Miranda first hinted that she and Evan were considering expanding their brood back in a 2022 interview with Vogue Australia, telling the publication at the time that, while she had always wanted to be a mother of three boys, she was 'open' to having more children.
'I just love being a mother and I always wanted three boys, so I feel really blessed that I have three healthy boys,' she said.
'I feel like I'm open, so we'll see what God decides.'
In the interview, which accompanied a stunning cover shoot featuring Miranda and Evan posing together, the catwalk superstar also candidly spoke out about how her body has changed after her pregnancies.
'I still don't feel like I'm back to where I was before the babies. But I'm content with that,' she said.
'My body is different and it has changed, and I'm embracing that.
'I feel like that is the most attractive thing in general anyway, as human beings, when someone does embrace who they are.'
