The Royal Family turned out in force for the service of thanksgiving at Windsor Castle for the late King Constantine of Greece on Tuesday.

Queen Camilla, 76, led members of the Firm after King Charles III missed the sombre occasion as his treatment for cancer continues, while Prince William had been due to give a reading but pulled out for 'personal reasons'.

No further detail was given on William's absence, and it is not known if this relates to his wife, the Princess of Wales' ongoing recovery after her abdominal surgery last month.

The Prince of Wales is understood to have called the Greek Royal family to apologise, while Kensington Palace confirmed Kate was 'doing well' as she recovers at home.

Camilla was joined by Prince Andrew, his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York, their daughter Princess Beatrice, King Charles' sister Princess Anne, and her daughter Zara Tindall, as well as the late King Constantine's widow Queen Anne-Marie, their eldest son, Crown Prince Pavlos and other members of the Greek royal family.

Here, FEMAIL takes a closer look at the guests who attended the service...

1. Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy

Princess Alexandra, 87, is the daughter of the late Queen's uncle Prince George, Duke of Kent, and Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark. She is patron or president of over 100 organisations which reflect her wide-ranging interests, from the arts to health care. Although she is officially still a working royal, Princess Alexandra drastically reduced her workload last year.

2. Marina Ogilvy

Marina, 57, is a goddaughter of King Charles. She was married for seven years to photographer Paul Mowatt with whom she had two children. Famously pregnant before marrying Mowatt - in black - in 1990, she once posed for a magazine in a rubber jumpsuit and crown surrounded by corgis. It led to a fall out with her parents, Princess Alexandra and Sir Angus Ogilvy. They were reconciled and after her marriage ended she reverted to her maiden name. Today she is a teacher and musician.

3. Prince Andrew

Prince Andrew smiled and rubbed his hands together today as he walked the Royal Family into Windsor Castle for the service of thanksgiving in a move that proves he is 'back in the fold'.

In an extraordinary turnaround after he was banned from royal duties and stripped of his HRH and military titles by his mother the late Queen just two years ago, the Duke of York led The Firm into church to celebrate the life of the last King of Greece.

One royal watcher told MailOnline: 'Prince Andrew and the Yorks are firmly back in the fold'.

It is the first time the Duke of York has attended a public event since the Christmas Day service at Sandringham. And it came almost two years to the day from when he settled the sexual assault case filed against him by Virginia Giuffre, a sex slave victim of Andrew's friend Jeffrey Epstein

The settlement was never disclosed but was estimated to be worth around £12million ($16.3million). It spared him having to give evidence under oath at any trial in the US and there were claims that the Queen helped him pay for it. Andrew has vehemently and repeatedly denied all allegations against him.

The late Queen Elizabeth II's cousin Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester, 79, is the son of the late Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester. He carries out royal engagements on behalf of the Queen and has links to 150 organisations. He joined the Royal Family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace yesterday.

8. Queen Camilla

Queen Camilla took the reins as head of the Royal family on the world stage for the first time as she lead a memorial service for King Constantine of Greece.

She appeared calm and confident in an elegant pinstripe outfit as she stepped up as the most senior figure representing the British monarchy in Charles' absence.

King Charles III missed the service as his treatment for cancer continues, while Prince William had been due to give a reading but pulled out for 'personal reasons'.

9. Queen Anne-Marie of Greece

 10. Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece

As the eldest son of the Constantine, Prince Pavlos is now the head of the Greek royal family, he was crown prince and heir apparent to the throne from birth until the monarchy's abolition.

Pavlos and his family split their time between the UK and US, as well as, of course, Greece. It's thought the couple are unlikely to move to Athens.

Pavlos and Chantal have lived between New York and London since 2004, with Marie Chantal running a children's clothing line out of the UK.

Together the family enjoy a life befitting of the world's mega wealthy, splitting their time between their stunning Upper East Side New York home and holidays around the world.

As well as the New York home, the Greek royals have four other properties around the world including a house in London, a Cotswolds estate, a holiday home in the Bahamas, as well as a country retreat in Yorkshire.

However it now appears they will be spending more time in Greece to support Anne-Marie, following the death of King Constantine.

11. Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece

Marie-Chantal, 55,  today put on a dignified silence as she supported her husband mourning his father.

She combines work as a clothes designer with a life as mother-of-five whose children are already forging their own successful paths.

She also has a huge online following, with nearly a quarter of a million fans on one social media channel alone.

Princess Alexia stood between her sister-in-law and younger brother as she mourned her father's death.

The 58-year-old is the oldest child of Anne-Marie and King Constantine but due to Greece's male primogeniture rules, her brother was the heir assumptive to the throne.

The mother-of-four, who married Spanish architect Carlos Morales Quintana,  mostly keeps out of the public eye.

Sporting a black fascinator and grey outfit, the mother-of-two donned a pair of elegant earrings and opted for a smattering of glamorous makeup.

Gustav and Carina spent years fighting a strict inheritance rule set by the Prince's Nazi grandfather in the 1930s, which prevented them from tying the knot.

Princess Benedikte's son Gustav and Carina were banned from marrying as a result of a legal clause set by the royal's grandfather Prince Gustav Albrecht.

In the 1930s, he set up his will to prevent relations from inheriting family property if they marry someone not of Protestant, noble and Aryan descent.

By 1944, he went missing while serving as an officer in the German Army, during a mission near Orsha, Belarus. The soldier was declared MIA and no one sought an official declaration of death until Gustav was born in 1969.

Gustav's father Prince Richard was able to inherit property because his wife - Princess Benedikte of Denmark - met the strict and controlling criteria.

However, Carina Axelsson, 54 - who is an American author best known for the teen fashion detective series Model Under Cover - has Swedish and Mexican heritage, and hence didn't satisfy the will's agenda.
