Nathan Wade's divorce lawyer Terrence Bradley says 'I do not recall' MULTIPLE times as he's grilled on if his prosecutor client started dating Fani Willis before she hired him to investigate Trump

Nathan Wade's divorce lawyer Terrence Bradley tied himself in knots on the stand on Tuesday as he said 'I can't recall if I lied' and claimed he was 'speculating' when he claimed in a bombshell text message that his prosecutor client started dating Fani Willis before she hired him.

Bradley insisted he couldn't remember when his former law partner began his relationship with Willis during a grilling in the hearing that could see the Fulton County District Attorney thrown off the Donald Trump case.

The star witness said 'I can't recall' at least 10 times when asked if Wade and Willis began their romantic connection before he was hired to prosecute the former president in Georgia.

Bradley also paused when he was asked point-blank if Wade and Willis had sex in his law office, to which he said 'I can't recall'.

He admitted writing a text message stating Willis and Wade started dating in 2019 to Ashleigh Merchant, the lawyer for the Trump co-defendant behind the bid to have Willis disqualified from the Georgia election fraud case.

But in a u-turn he insisted he was only 'speculating', and insisted under oath that he didn't know the date of when their romantic connection began.

His dramatic appearance followed dramatic revelations that Wade visited DA Fani Willis' Georgia neighborhood at least 35 times and stayed overnight before she hired him on the Trump investigation team.

Willis and Wade have stuck by their story that they started their romantic connection in 2022, after he was tapped for her team looking into Trump's bid to overturn the election in Georgia. But testimony throughout the hearing and recent revelations have poked multiple holes in their claims.

Bradley was elusive as Merchant started questioning him.

He insisted he didn't know when Willis and Wade started their relationship, while Merchant peppered Bradley on his claims they began dating in 2019.

'I can't recall', he said multiple times when grilled on the timeline.

At one point he told the court Wade confided in him that he was dating Willis during a meeting in their office, but he couldn't remember when it was.

This conversation, he claimed, was the only time he spoke with Wade about his relationship with Willis.

He admitted in court that he sent Merchant a text message suggesting Wade started dating Willis before she hired him.

'That's written in there. Yes,' he said.

Merchant then handed him a copy of the text message while he was on the stand.

'I do not recall,' Bradley answered. 'I see that message, but I do not recall that'.

'And when I asked you if you thought it started before she hired him, and you responded ‘absolutely, Merchant asked before she was interrupted by an objection.

'Do you remember telling me that not many people knew where they met,' she said.

She added: 'Where did you gain knowledge of your statement that Willis and Wade started when she was judge in South Fulton?'

'I was speculating that at some point they were dating, he said when pressed by Merchant.

'I can't give you a date if you're asking for a date,' Bradley said. 'If you're asking me how did I get the knowledge, it would have come directly from a client.

'At this time, I am telling you that I do not have the date,' Bradley responded when Merchant kept pushing.

'He doesn't remember much of anything right now', Merchant told the judge as she kept interrogating him over the 'timeline' of the relationship.

The DA's office lawyer Adam Abbate constantly interrupted Merchant with 'objections' over 'hearsay' and privilege.

'A lot of this is based on gossip and innuendo ... and privileged information,' Abbate said when objecting to her questioning.

Donald Trump's lawyer Steve Sadow then asked him 'why the heck' he would speculate about when they started dating in a text message.

'What you want the court to believe and you want the rest of us to believe, is that for some unknown reason, upon being asked a direct question about when the relationship started, you decided on your own to simply speculate and put it down in a text message as opposed to putting down what you actually knew'.

Bradley responded by saying he had 'no answer'. Sadow contended that Bradley did know when the relationship started but was refusing to testify to the fact.

Bradley took the stand following a meeting between Judge Scott McAfee, who ruled certain communications between Wade and Bradley are not protected by attorney-client privilege.

Judge McAfee informed the attorneys involved in the case through email about the exclusion of some communications from attorney-client confidentiality.

McAfee's decision came after a closed-door meeting between the judge and Bradley on Monday that lasted for over an hour.

Michael Roman and other co-defendants in Trump's case are seeking for District Attorney Fanni Willis, 53, to be disqualified over what they term was an 'improper' relationship.

They cite a financial benefit from a 'personal, romantic relationship' with special prosecutor Wade, whom she hired for the case.

Although Willis and Wade have acknowledged their relationship, they have argued that it 'does not amount to a disqualifying conflict of interest' and that the relationship 'has never involved direct or indirect financial benefit to District Attorney Willis.'
