No, it's not technically March just yet, but basketball fans in one Philadelphia suburb could be forgiven for thinking otherwise after a remarkable finish at a junior high game.

Sara Guveiyian, a seventh-grader from Haddonfield, New Jersey, drained a half-court shot at the buzzer to give the Bulldawgs a 40-37 win over Washington Township on Sunday night.

'I was just proud of myself that I shot it,' she told Philadelphia's WPVI about the dramatic finish.

Unsurprisingly, Guveiyian confessed she's watched the footage of her half-court heave at least 20 times.

Her father, Mike, was surprised by the shot – not because she made it, but rather because she still had time on the clock to get a closer look.

'My first thought was there was three seconds left and she had another dribble in her,' he joked to WPVI.

'But honestly, my first thought was ''It's not going to hit the rafters, it's got a chance,''' Mike continued. 'Then it was just pure joy.'

Mike shared footage of his daughter's miraculous shot on Instagram, while noting that the buzzer beater was just 'one of a TON of big plays by the entire team!'

'These girls just keep fighting no matter what,' he wrote.

Now Haddonfield will advance to the ICBL Girls Basketball League Tournament Final on Sunday.

Haddonfield doesn't have much of a basketball tradition, unlike other towns surrounding Philadelphia, but it is the home town of Kevin Eastman, the former Washington State men's coach, who went on to work as an assistant for the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers.
