A Silicon Valley baker who lost $16,000 after an order from Tesla was canceled has turned down its offer of new business amid an influx of Elon Musk-hating customers.
Voahangy Rasetarinera, owner of The Giving Pies in San Jose, California, says she has been overwhelmed with support since posting about her financial woes.
This past Friday and Saturday alone, more than 300 customers turned up at the Bay Area bakery as donations continued to pour in from across the country.
Tesla boss Musk personally vowed to 'make things good with the bakery' in a post to X, formerly Twitter.
'People should always be able to count on Tesla trying its best,' the tech tycoon wrote Friday morning, adding that it was the first he had heard of the mishap.

Rasetarinera told NBC Bay Area that a Tesla manager offered to reimburse her for the $2,000 worth of supplies for the previous order. The manager even offered a new job for 3,600 mini pies for a women's day celebration in March.
However, Rasetarinera turned the opportunity down.
'Unfortunately, I can not do their catering event because with all the business that we got we depleted our stock of crust, and then we also have Pi Day to prepare for, so there's no way,' she told the outlet.
Tesla originally propositioned the bakery for 2,000 pies through an order placed on Valentine's Day.
But the company wanted the pies to be delivered the following week - which was short notice for the bakery, according to Rasetarinera.
In a post on Facebook titled 'How Tesla's actions hurt my small black women-owned business,' Rasetarinera explained how the massive order forced her to work around the clock and spend a fortune on ingredients.
The post detailed how the payment for the pies did not go through.
Still, Laura from Tesla reached out to the bakery again to request that the order be doubled to 4,000 pies.

'Despite the late hour and short notice, I consulted with my staff, who assured me they could manage the expanded order,' Rasetarinera wrote.
She said her hopes were 'shattered' when Laura 'casually' texted her to say that Tesla no longer needed the pies after she had already bought the supplies and prepared for the order.
'This abrupt reversal left me reeling, realizing the extent of the impact on my small business,' Rasetarinera wrote.
'I had invested time, resources, and effort based on assurances from Tesla, only to be left high and dry.'
After sending Laura a message expressing her disappointment, Rasetarinera said her response appeared to 'shift blame to upper management.'
Despite the temporary setback, Rasetarinera racked up support online, which in turn sent business skyrocketing.
One X user based in San Jose testified that customers had flocked to the San Jose storefront after hearing the baker's story. 'Disgusting of Tesla; awesome of the locals,' she wrote.
Other users demanded that Tesla make up for the $16,000 lost.
'Tesla still needs to pay. Ridiculous that a company that large tries to stiff small business and then good people have to step in and help,' one user remarked.
Other users didn't hold back on expressing their disdain for the Tesla founder.
Tagging Musk's account, one netizen wrote: 'What a pitiful, pathetic, small and nasty man you are. Money buys everything but the soul!'
