Sunny Hostin questioned whether Britney Spears is 'capable' following the pop star's 13-year conservatorship which notably came to an end back in November 2021.

The TV personality, 55 — who recently clashed with her fellow co-host Sara Haines — brought up the Toxic songstress while discussing Wendy Williams amid her dementia battle on Tuesday's episode of The View.

At one point while talking about Williams' guardianship, the lawyer stated, 'But see, remember Britney Spears - I was part of the #FreeBritney movement.'

'I was horrified. I thought, you know, her children were taken from her, and her parents were taking money from her, and "Free Britney."'

However, Hostin then added, 'We've seen a free Britney now out of the conservatorship. Is she still suffering? Sometimes I wonder. It seems she is still suffering.'

Sara Haines also jumped into the conversation and expressed, 'Well, suffering is going to be inevitable. It's whether she is capable of making decisions for her life.'

Sunny then replied, 'And is she capable? Because we have seen some things that have happened that's questionable.'

The star was possibly referencing to videos and content shared by the singer on her Instagram account.

Earlier this month, Spears uploaded a since-deleted clip of herself smoking as she danced in multiple racy ensembles while 'trying to lose weight.'

The performer has also shared nude snaps of herself as well as a video uploaded last year in September while dancing with knives — which she later claimed were fake.

However, the reel notably sparked concern amongst her fans and prompted a welfare check from the police, which Britney later labeled as a 'joke.'

The conservatorship — which began back in 2008 with her father Jamie Spears as a co-conservator — came to an end in November 2021.

In her memoir The Woman In Me which was released last year in October, Britney reflected on her days under the conservatorship and said she felt like a 'child-robot.'

In an excerpt obtained by People, Spears wrote, 'I became a robot. But not just a robot — a sort of child-robot. I had been so infantilized that I was losing pieces of what made me feel like myself.'

'The conservatorship stripped me of my womanhood, made me into a child. I became more of an entity than a person onstage. I had always felt music in my bones and my blood; they stole that from me.'

She also added, 'This is what's hard to explain, how quickly I could vacillate between being a little girl and being a teenager and being a woman, because of the way they had robbed me of my freedom.'

'There was no way to behave like an adult, since they wouldn't treat me like an adult, so I would regress and act like a little girl; but then my adult self would step back in — only my world didn’t allow me to be an adult.'

Britney further expressed, 'The woman in me was pushed down for a long time. They wanted me to be wild onstage, the way they told me to be, and to be a robot the rest of the time.'

'I felt like I was being deprived of those good secrets of life — those fundamental supposed sins of indulgence and adventure that make us human.'

Spears also wrote that, 'They wanted to take away that specialness and keep everything as rote as possible. It was death to my creativity as an artist.'

The talk show host discussed the pop singer and how she was in the spotlight at a young age.

'Think about the fact of being under that type of glare, the glare of media, when you're 15, or [in] your 20s.'

Hostin added, 'She talks about her chapter with Justin Timberlake, and Lance Bass, one of his former bandmates, said, "I hope that you can show him some grace and forgiveness and this is Britney's story and I hope you can show her some grace."'

'And I was thinking, I did some crazy stuff when I was in my 20s, and I'm so glad there were no cameras around me. I'm so glad there was no social media, because I would not be sitting here.'
