Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert's 18-year-old son was arrested Tuesday and faces 22 charges in connection to a series of vehicle break-ins and property thefts.
Tyler Boebert was taken into custody around 2:30pm on Tuesday, according to police in the town of Rifle, Colorado, which is part of the district his mother still represents in Congress.
The Republican lawmaker's son is facing nearly two dozen different charges, including four counts of criminal possession of a financial device, three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and three counts of theft of under $300.
The other charges range from four felony counts of criminal possession of an ID, a felony count of conspiracy to commit a felony and more than 15 different misdemeanor and petty charges.
Boebert is listed as a current inmate at the Garfield County Jail, according to their records. Bond has not yet been set for his release.

Local police cited the recent series of vehicle trespasses and property theft in the town and the Rifle Police Department posted on its Facebook page on Tusday evening that the investigation is ongoing.
DailyMail.com reached out to a spokesperson for Rep. Boebert for comment.
Rep. Boebert still represents Colorado's 3rd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, but announced earlier this year that she was moving her campaign to the state's 4th district.
The lawmaker was facing a tough rematch with Democrat Adam Frisch, but also said the move is to give her family a 'fresh start' after a 'pretty difficult year.'
The arrest Tuesday isn't the first time the teenage Boebert - who shares a son with an ex-girlfriend - has had a run-in with controversy.
In April of last year, a friend alleged that an accident, in which Tyler was driving, left him with multiple concussions and a debilitating hand injury.
Noble D'Amato, 19, accused the political family of covering it up.
D'Amato, who was hospitalized with concussions and a severely lacerated hand after Tyler took a curve too fast and flipped his father's SUV into a creek bed at 11:30pm on September 17, 2022.
D'Amato alleged that the injuries left him unable to continue his welding career.
'I still have problems with my hand,' he told Westword, a Denver-based publication. 'My thumb almost got cut off. It prevented me from getting a welding job, because I can't hold a TIG torch anymore. I'm a personal-care provider now.'

D'Amato says the younger Boebert was 'stone cold sober' at the time of the accident. 'And he still f**king flipped us,' D'Amato said. 'That shows you how much he just doesn't care. He was driving so f**king fast.'
His backpack allegedly contained un-prescribed Xanax pills and a 'silver marijuana grinder w/small amount of marijuana,' which got the 19-year-old charged with unlawful possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
'I remember waking up with blood pouring out of my hand. I had put my hands up in the air to protect myself and got messed up really bad by the window or something. I was just glad to be alive,' D'Amato said.
Tyler, Westword reported, got a careless driving ticket, which was later dropped down to a 'defective vehicle for headlights' ticket after the teenager accepted a plea deal.
He had to go through a court-ordered driving school, dubbed 'Alive at 25,' and attend a court hearing on Monday, which is how news of the accident got out.
Boebert's Congressional office infuriated D'Amato by releasing a statement to Westword, downplaying his injuries in an April 4 statement.
'The injury reported was superficial at best and was addressed by medical professionals out of caution,' Boebert's office said.
D'Amato said the statement was 'bulls**t,' and said it was likely the congresswoman who was trying to sweep the severity of his injuries under the rug.

'She's never liked me,' D'Amato said. 'But that doesn't give them the right to try and hide the fact that I was injured. They just don't give a f**k. It's the entire family.'
Boebert's office's statement also said 'the incident involved two minors,' which is inaccurate, as D'Amato was 19 when the crashed occurred.
When it happened, Tyler was still 17 and a minor, and thus his name was redacted.
When he turned 18 in March 2023, the official report and case file became public.
The young man has also had to cope with an allegedly abusive father, whom Congresswoman Boebert got a restraining order from earlier this month.
Lauren, 37, and Jayson, 43, married in 2005 and split in 2023, but the couple have still made the headlines during what appears to be a rocky separation.
In January, Jayson was arrested and charged just days after the couple were involved in a domestic violence incident at a Colorado restaurant.
A few days later, he allegedly assaulted Tyler during an altercation over laundry at their home in Silt, Colorado, an arrest warrant revealed.

'Tyler described that Jayson shoved him by placing one hand in the area of his throat/neck and pushing back,' Deputy Cyd Ramirez wrote.
A Colorado judge issued the order in early February, and it also included protections for the couple's three younger sons.
'Tyler became upset at this point,' Ramirez continued, adding that 'a physical altercation began between Jayson and him' quickly ensued.
As the father and son fight escalated, he added, the father of four allegedly 'stuck his right hand thumb into Tyler's mouth.'
The force of the maneuver, the Colorado cop claimed, made the teen fear that his father 'was going to pull his tooth out.'
At some point during the struggle, Ramirez wrote, Tyler managed to get ahold of his cell phone and managed to call his mother, who last year became a grandmother after Tyler fathered a boy with his also-teenage girlfriend.
The firebrand allegedly responded by telling the boy to call the cops, who eventually arrived on the scene
Jayson was charged with misdemeanor assault, disorderly conduct, obstructing a police officer and aiming a firearm, and he was let out on $2,500 bond, according to court records.
In her request for the restraining order, she mentioned their January 6 argument in a restaurant where he claimed she had hit him - a claim he later recanted and that police eventually said was unfounded.
Jayson was uncooperative when police responded to the restaurant, which led to charges of disorderly conduct, third-degree criminal trespass and obstructing a peace officer, according to court documents.
Jayson later told The Associated Press that he was the 'victim' in the incident.
'I would never harm Lauren I just want to move on and be in peace,' the told the outlet in a text message,
He also accused his ex-wife of using the restraining order to 'justify' her move to a new congressional district.
