Fans of The Voice did not hold back as they slammed the show as being 'unwatchable' just days after the season 25 premiere.
One disgruntled viewer, who is usually a fan of the NBC singing competition, sparked the backlash with a post on Reddit titled: 'The Voice S25 is a no watch.'
The unnamed commenter, from the US, lamented that Country Western music was 'overshadowing everything' following the series launch on Monday.
It seemed to be criticism of the singers who have been chosen as judges with the current line-up consisting of Chance the Rapper, Reba McEntire, John Legend and Dan + Shay - who replaced former One Direction star Niall Horan.

The post, which was uploaded less than 24 hours after the premiere, read: 'I can't be the only person annoyed that Country Western (CW) is overshadowing everything.
'If CW had its own show it would be better. If the music industry picked the winner it would also be better. America voting is a train wreck.'
It continued: 'Some of the world's best singers would have been voted off the show. That is ridiculous.
'I usually watch until the voting starts. This year that double team stunt makes the whole thing unwatchable for me.'
And dozens of other commenters were quick to join the conversation with their own mixed takes.
Many were not fans of country music getting so much representation on the TV show.
One person commented: 'Dan + Shay is so boring and dread. Now we know how good Niall was!'
Another person wrote: 'I absolutely hate country music. Having the country duo instead of someone different from all the rest is what they should have done. I'm not watching this season.'

A third person added: 'Hell, Beyoncé currently has the number one country song on the Billboard charts. All that being said, a Country Voice would be cool, but would fail.'
But, on the other hand, other fans of the show understood why the genre was prevalent currently.
One person wrote: 'Several Voice alums have been successful on country radio (which btw is how it's generally termed now, just "country," as opposed to the older "country and western"). So yeah, country artists are going to be featured.'
A second person wrote: 'The show is simply following the trend of the current state of music. Country music is very popular right now.'
A third person added: 'The show knows its audience. Country listeners unfortunately make up most of its viewership, so that's who they pander to.'
'It's because country artists have been so popular,' a fourth person wrote.
