Rep Lauren Boebert's oldest son Tyler allegedly made a sex tape with one of his teen accomplices in a spate of vehicle break-ins and property theft in the republican's Colorado district.
Police narrowed in on Tyler, 18, after a teen helped identify him on a store's security footage, according to an affidavit seen by DailyMail.com.
The teen then told police that Tyler and a female accomplice had made a sex tape and that Tyler had sent it to another person in their age group. Tyler has not been charged with any crimes in connection to the alleged sex tape.
Tyler is accused of breaking in and stealing from four vehicles, taking cash, gift cards, a social security card and credit cards, as well as driver's licenses.
It's not clear which co-defendant Tyler allegedly made a sex tape with. His three co-defendants have only been described as a 16-year-old male, a 16-year-old female, and a 17-year-old female.
Tyler Boebert was taken into custody on Wednesday in Rifle and is facing over 20 charges
The lawmaker's son, 18, is facing nearly two dozen different charges in connection to a spate of vehicle break-ins and property theft in the republican's Colorado district

While the age of consent is 17 in Colorado, the co-defendants haven't been identified because they are all underage, resulting in the charges of corrupting minors.
The teens allegedly used the cash to buy gas and food from a McDonald's and a Kum and Go in Rifle, though banks eventually started declining the charges.
They also apparently tried to order $717 worth of merchandise from Shein.com, $175 at Kum and Go and $10.95 from a Starbucks.
An arrest affidavit claims Boebert was recognized on surveillance video at a gas station on February 20 by a police officer in Rifle investigating a series of vehicle break-ins and thefts.
The video shows Boebert in a Shooters Bar and Grill hoodie - the restaurant formerly owned by his mother - while three accomplices, all underage, allegedly use a stolen credit card to get food.
Six victims are named in an incident summary, though their identities are also redacted, with the youngest just three years old. The remainder are between the ages of 18 and 32.
Tyler appeared virtually in a Garfield County court Wednesday from jail and was smiling and laughing as the hearing began, which Deputy District Attorney Tony Hershey said his Congresswoman mother listened in on.

Magistrate Jill McConaughy assigned him a personal recognizance bond of $1,250.
Hershey called his 'activity and behavior' concerning and noted that Boebert failed to appear in court on a traffic case last year.
Boebert's next court date was set for April 11.
Local police cited the recent series of vehicle trespasses and property theft in the town and the Rifle Police Department posted on its Facebook page on Tuesday evening that the investigation is ongoing.
Rep. Boebert still represents Colorado's 3rd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, but announced earlier this year that she was moving her campaign to the state's 4th district.
The lawmaker revealed last year that Tyler, then 17, was going to be a father, making her a grandmother at the age of just 36.
'Obviously, I'm a Christian, and there are standards that we like to uphold, but none of us do it perfectly,' she said when asked if the teen pregnancy 'challenged' any of her conservative beliefs.
'We can nitpick what the Bible says is right and wrong, but I think just having that heart posture of wanting to serve God, it's so important.'

Boebert said that her son should face consequences but she loves and supports him.
The lawmaker was facing a tough rematch with Democrat Adam Frisch, but also said the move is to give her family a 'fresh start' after a 'pretty difficult year.'
The arrest Tuesday isn't the first time the teenage Boebert - who shares a son with an ex-girlfriend - has had a run-in with controversy.
In April of last year, a friend alleged that an accident, in which Tyler was driving, left him with multiple concussions and a debilitating hand injury.
Rep. Boebert, in a statement to DailyMail.com, said that her son should face consequences but she ultimately loves and supports him.
'I love my son Tyler, who has been through some very difficult, public challenges for a young man and the subject of attention that he didn't ask for,' she said.
She added that her son was an 'adult and father' and should be 'held accountable' just like anyone else.
'It breaks my heart to see my child struggling and, in this situation, especially when he has been provided multiple opportunities to get his life on track. I will never give up on him and I will continue to be there for him,' she added.
