With the Queen taking a well-deserved break after stepping in for King Charles as he continues cancer treatment, other members of the Royal Family are set to take the lead this week.

Prince William and Princess Anne, along with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke of Gloucester, are all lined up to undertake public engagements in the coming days.

The Prince of Wales is said to be planning to be 'out and about' as his wife continues to recover at home following abdominal surgery.

True to form, Princess Anne is set to be the busiest royal this week, with 11 engagements in the diary from today until Sunday.

The Duke of Edinburgh will carry out duties at eight engagements, with his wife Sophie joining him at three.

The Duke of Gloucester - the King cousin - has four engagements in the diary this week.

Meanwhile, the Duke of Kent attended a service of thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey this morning to mark the 200th anniversary of lifeboat charity the RNLI.

The frail 88-year-old - who has long been praised for his devotion to royal service - was seen using a walking stick as he made his way to his seat.

To protect his security, details of William's upcoming engagements are not publicly available ahead of time.

Today, the Princess Royal will hold meetings for two charities at Gatcombe Park, her country home in Gloucestershire.

She is the Guardian for Give Them A Sporting Chance and The Chaffinch Trust.

Tomorrow, in her role as patron of prison charity The Butler Trust, she will visit a young offender's institute in Buckinghamshire before heading to Hertfordshire to open a sheltered housing scheme.

On the same day she will attend an event to mark the 180th anniversary of New Court Place, a residential home for disabled people run by the charity Livability, which Anne is patron of.

Her next engagements are on Thursday, when she will attend a reception at Savoy Chapel in Westminster in her role as Grand Master of the Royal Victorian Order.

She will also attend the 32nd National Equine Forum in London and before heading to King's College Hospital on Friday to see their portable MRI project.

As patron of Save the Children, she will also attend a lunch to mark International Women's Day on the same day.

On Sunday, the Princess Royal will attend the opening reception for the Global Fraud Summit at the Guildhall.

Prince Edward's busy diary this week kicks off tomorrow in Stafford, where he will visit an amateur boxing club before heading to the headquarters of Staffordshire Police to attend the 10th anniversary of the force's cadet scheme.

He will also visit the Rising Brook Community Church in the town.

On Wednesday he will head to Leatherhead, where he will visit a theatre and a community radio station.

On Friday he will be joined by the Duchess of Edinburgh at three engagements in Leeds.

The couple will attend the Community Sports Awards at Headingley, sit in on a performance of Romeo and Juliet at Leeds Grand Theatre and will watch a rehearsal of the Northern Ballet.

The Duke of Edinburgh has a packed diary in part because of the fact that his 60th birthday is on Sunday.

His birthday is thought to be the perfect occasion to highlight his work for the Royal Family and how he is continuing the legacy of his late father, Prince Philip.

The Duke of Gloucester, 79, is busy tomorrow in his role as president of the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.

He will attend the organisation's annual summit at the Queen Elizabeth Centre in London.

On Friday he will head to Herne Bay and then Deal - both in Kent - to visit both the Victoria Memorial Hospital and the Kent Mining Museum.

Queen Camilla has no upcoming engagements in her diary and is set to go on a 'long-scheduled holiday', as she regularly does at this time of year.

The Sun reported that she will fly overseas for a 'sunshine break'. She has been kept very busy since the King's cancer diagnosis, with 13 engagements since the health news was announced on February 5.

Although the King has had his diary cleared, he will continue to carry out state business from home.

He has filmed a Commonwealth Day message that will be shown to the nation on March 11. It will be his first broadcast since his cancer diagnosis.

Last week, Prince William pulled out of a memorial service for his godfather, King Constantine of Greece, with 45 minutes' notice.

The Palace said this was for 'personal reasons' but did not give any further detail.

On Friday he visited the Western Marble Arch synagogue, where he spoke with Holocaust survivor Renee Salt and was given a bouquet of flowers for Kate.

He later visited Wrexham to mark St David's Day. As he walked into Wrexham AFC's Racecourse Ground, a royal fan asked: 'William, how's Catherine?'

The Prince of Wales did not answer the question but did promise fans he would come back after seeing the team.

Later in the visit, William thanked a group of schoolchildren for giving him a bouquet of flowers for Kate while visiting All Saints ' Primary School in the Welsh city.

They gave him Welsh dragon toys for his three children - and then flowers for Kate.

The Prince told them: 'I'll pass them onto Catherine as well, thank you very much.'

Also during the trip, he poured a pint and downed a whisky with Hollywood star Rob McElhenney at The Turf pub next to Wrexham AFC – the world's oldest pub at a sports stadium, which featured in the Disney+ 'Welcome to Wrexham' series.
