Cleveland Police were involved in an unexpected speed chase on Saturday after two police horses bolted down the highway.
A video obtained by the Ohio Department of Transportation showed a pair of police horses weaving in and out of traffic near the unit's stables at 12:15 pm.
In separate footage from the opposite angle, the brave horses were seen trotting westbound in the eastbound lane.
The two daring animals eventually halted traffic on Interstate 90 in the downtown Cleveland area, as footage showed baffled drivers slowing to a halt in their lanes.
Police cruisers were seen chasing after the stallions as they headed down an on-ramp before cutting out of sight onto a side street.
The horses galloped back towards the stables at the direction of a police car and an officer on foot

'Mounted officers promptly recovered both horses, ensuring their safety, and no further incidents ensued,' the official said.
How the 'neighsayers' escaped in the first place is currently unknown - but it has been reported that the four-legged foals were working with law enforcement and then escaped from the police stables.
