If you have fine hair and have always dreamed of making it look lifted, this new viral beauty hack will be a real gamechanger.

The styling trick is going viral on TikTok, as influencers exchange limp locks for super high ponytails with tons of volume.

The simple hairdo can be done in mere minutes and it simply involves making two ponytails instead of one.

Content creator Kristen Hollingshaus, based in San Francisco, California, wowed her followers with the double pony trick on the video-sharing platform, captioning the clip, 'a new go-to.'

Pump it up! How to achieve the voluminous ponytail

Start by using a flexible hold gel to slick back the sides

Brush the sides to get rid of any flyaways after applying gel

Put your hair into a high ponytail

Separate the bottom part of the pony and put it in a separate ponytail hidden underneath for added volume

Kristen, who shares beauty, fashion, and fitness tips, started the video by showing her 415,000 followers how fine her hair is, before using Crown Affair's flexible hold finishing gel ($42) to slick back the sides surrounding the middle part to guarantee it stays.

The Californian used a Glow Beauty hairbrush ($26) followed by a Crown Affair hairbrush ($74) to brush the sides of her hair back and avoid flyaways, once the gel was already in her hair to secure the strands.

The beauty guru then took a hair tie and made and secured one big ponytail with all her hair.

After the ponytail was done, she took the bottom half of the pony and tied it into a ponytail of its own, hidden underneath the original hair tie and leading to loads of volume.

Her followers loved the simple 'do, commenting, 'Oooo okay gotta try!' and  'Your hair is perfect.'

Some folks took issue with her fine hair, with one writing, 'I think we have different ideas of fine,' and another chiming in with, 'Step 1: have long perfect thick hair!'

'Girl if your hair is fine mine is… invisible,' one commenter quipped.

'As a thin hair girlie, I need to see what it looks like after a few hours,' another person mused, as it is possible it would lose volume without any teasing or hairspray.

One follower asked, 'Why do you put a part in your pony?'

The middle-parted ponytail has become a go-to for celebrities and is considered part of the 'clean girl' beauty routine.

Hailey Bieber is a fan of the elevated updo and her pal Kendall Jenner also often rocks one.

In fact, celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton previously shared a similar hack, that showed him creating two ponytails on top of each other for added volume.

Now, you can channel one of his celebrity clients - with a few simple steps and a hair band.
