Trump says his Super Tuesday rout is the most 'conclusive' in Mar-a-Lago victory speech where he ignores Nikki Haley again and tears into Biden for his 'secret migrant flights' and going to the beach as he prepares for 2024 showdown

Former President Donald Trump said November 5 would be the most important day in American history as he promised Tuesday evening to rebuild America after what he said was three years of decline under President Joe Biden.

He addressed hundreds of excited supporters at his Mar-a-Lago headquarters after clinching big Super Tuesday wins  in Maine, Oklahoma, Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Minnesota and Massachusetts.

'They tell me ... that there's never been one like this has never been anything so conclusive,' he said beneath the gilded ceiling of the Grand Ballroom.

It leaves his last challenger, Nikki Haley, to ponder whether polling 30 percent in a handful of states is enough for her to continue her campaign.

Trump did not even mention her name (in contrast to his victory speech in New Hampshire when he railed against her) instead continuing his pivot to the presidential election and launching fresh salvoes on Biden.

'November 5 is going to go down as the single most important day in the history of our country,' he said about the presidential election.

'We're not respected right now our country is known as a joke. It's a joke.

'Other leaders ... can't believe what happened to us because three years ago we were the most respected country anywhere in the world by far.'

Biden, 77, enjoyed his own string of victories in Democratic primaries. So barring ill-health or legal challenge or other unforeseen upset it means that 81-year-old Trump faces a rematch of the 2020 election.

On Tuesday evening at Mar-a-Lago, key family members, including sons Eric, Don Jr., and daughter Tiffany stood alongside the stage, although there was no sign of former first lady Melania.

He could not have had a grander setting, standing beneath 16 chandeliers and beside walls shimmering with mirrors.

Above the ornate ceiling is the office where some of the presidential documents were found, triggering one of the four criminal cases against Trump.

On Tuesday evening the ballroom, hummed with an eclectic mix of 'deplorables' and regular rallygoers rubbing shoulders with the Palm Beach moneyed set.

A group arrived in 'Born to Ride - 45' biker jackets (with a reference to the 45th president) alongside young men in the Trump uniform of navy suit, white shirt, red tie.

And for every platinum haired, face-lifted local grand dame, there was another in a 'Save America dress' or red-white-and-blue outfit.

They heard Trump hammer Biden on the issues that could decide the election.

'They flew 325,000 migrants ... flew them in over the borders into our country,' he said, describing his disbelief at reports the Biden administration helped migrants into the country as part of a new legal crossing program for people who had been vetted and were traveling on their own dime.

'So that really tells you where they're coming from. They want open borders, and open borders are going to destroy our country.'

He also ridiculed Biden for his beach visits, before musing on the idea that the country would have been in better shape if his successor had stayed there.

'Joe Biden if he would have just left everything alone, he could have gone to the beach, he would have had a tremendous success at the border and elsewhere,' he said.

Trump's top aides would not be drawn on whether or not it is the night that Haley drops out, preferring to focus their messaging on President Joe Biden, 81.

'I've no idea,' said top campaign adviser Chris LaCivita. 'I can't get inside her head.'

Insiders quietly briefed reporters with a nudge and a wink that Haley was staying quietly at home rather than making a public appearance.

The crowd began filing in before 7pm, filling the gilded opulence of Mar-a-Lago's Grand Ballroom, where 16 chandeliers hang from the ceiling and the walls shimmer with mirrors.

Aides said Trump spent the day holding phone interviews with media outlets in Super Tuesday states.

Biden was also working on shoring up his support among Black voters, who were crucial to his 2020 win, with a pair of radio interviews targeted at African-American audiences.

'As much as everybody wants to go and push me out, I'm not ready to get out yet,' she told Fox News in an interview on Tuesday morning.

'If we lose this election, you're going to be back with Donald Trump,' he told the 'DeDe in the Morning' show. 'The way he talks about, the way he acted, the way he has dealt with the African-American community, I think, has been shameful.'

Haley has not made any promises to fight on past Super Tuesday. She has no more campaign events and no more TV ads due to be broadcast past Tuesday night.

Trump's advisers forecast that Haley will be eliminated mathematically by March 19.

His first criminal trial, on fraud charges stemming from a hush money payment to adult movie star Stormy Daniels, is due to start six days later.

Yet overall Trump's legal strategy has paid dividends. Last week, the Supreme Court said it would hear his claim that he was protected by presidential immunity, kicking his federal election fraud case to later in the year.

His array of delaying tactics means that it is likely that not one of the four cases will have returned a verdict by Election Day (and two may not even have started).
