Rory McIlroy showed his true feelings towards Brooks Koepka's fifth major win in the new season of Full Swing.
The Northern Irishman boldly admits he was wishing Koepka wasn't triumphant at the Masters last year, while discussing the ongoing LIV Golf fallout in the opening episode of the series, which was released on March 6.
Koepka, who defected to LIV in 2022, topped the leader board heading in to the final round at Augusta National last April but McIlroy was left relieved when it wasn't the American slipping into the green jacket.
'Brooks and I are tied on four majors apiece,' McIlroy says to camera in a behind-the-scenes interview. 'So you don't really want someone to go by you.
'If it wasn't me that was going to win the Masters, I'd probably prefer it to be a PGA Tour player, honestly.'

Koepka ultimately slipped from his position atop the leaderboard as Jon Rahm pulled four shots clear to clinch his second major win.
Koepka finished tied for second alongside fellow LIV player Phil Mickelson and McIlroy, who missed the cut, managed to avoid what could have been a disastrous tournament.
'I was relieved that Brooks didn't go to five major titles and I was still stuck at four, but at the same time, it would be dealing with the LIV bots and the media is what would have been absolutely horrific,' he later adds.
However, while he fell short at Augusta, Koepka did seal his fifth major, lifting the Wanamaker Trophy a month later.
'F***, someone in my era has got more majors than I have,' a furious McIlroy says after the episode details Koepka's PGA Championship win.

'It is hard for me to not define myself as one of the best golfers in the world, so when you struggle like that you feel a little lost.'
'I think it was a wake-up call for me to say "lets just focus on the golf for a little bit."'
Despite his obvious annoyance at Koepka's victory, McIlroy showed his true colors with a touching gesture to his rival.
'Brooks! Brooks!' McIlroy is heard shouting as he runs towards Koepka in the car park. Catching his attention, the pair then embrace before McIlroy adds: 'I am really happy for you.'
