Deputies were alerted to the incident by an anonymous caller who reported that they overhead the young girl telling an adult that she had been raped, Monroe County Sherriff's Office spokesperson Becky Herrin told DailyMail.com.

'Chitty said he believed he was about to be accused of something and he wanted to get ahead of it,' Herrin said, who confirmed that Chitty lives on the church's property.

Shortly after the incident, Chitty contacted deputies claiming that he intended to take the girl home to her grandmother while delivering meals to the homeless,' and seeing she was drunk, had allowed her to sleep on the couch.

He said he helped her to lie down on the couch but did not touch her after that,' as per a report Local 10News reported.

But, the victim told deputies, that Chitty had given her what she believed was a 'spiked,' drink.

She claimed, 'after drinking what she thought to be vodka, she felt weak, could not walk, and eventually lost consciousness while at the church,' as per the report.

The spokesperson said that further investigation by detectives revealed text messages between the victim and Chitty.

'In those messages, which were found on both his and her phones, Chitty made reference to having sexual relations with the girl while she was impaired,' she said.

In the report, the young girl stated that 'after he was done and left, she got up and ran out,' of the church building,' and called her grandma to pick her up.

The terrified victim showed her grandma sickening text messages from Chitty.

Deputies said it came from the same number he used to contact the sheriff's office.

The revolting text messages reveal Chitty first complimenting the girl's genitals, and using a cat emoji.

He proceeded to tell her, 'I prefer you pass out after I play not before.'

In another text, he told her, 'You can’t even remember what I did.'

According to deputies, Chitty interrogated her asking her what she remembered and told her to describe to him what he did to her.

When the victim accused him of abusing her, he called her by her name, and told her to 'Straighten up,' as per the report.

Chitty complimented the young girl's genitals again, and she responded, 'ig' short for 'I guess,' deputies said.

Chitty told the girl, 'Just say thank you.'

Chitty is married to a woman, as per reports.

Chitty was a pastor for the Sheriff's Office and was a registered volunteer, a role that the started last April, but, to date, she said, 'he has not performed any services for the office.'
