Bill Belichick was seen enjoying a cheerleading competition in National Harbor, Maryland this weekend.
The 71-year-old parted ways with the New England Patriots days after a Week 18 loss to the New York Jets on January 7. After failing to land a head coaching job in the NFL, Belichick appears to be enjoying his time away from football by watching other sports.
While he would usually be at the NFL Draft combine at this time, pictures acquired by TMZ show Belichick at the 2024 Coastal At The Capitol Cheer and Dance event.
People at the competition told TMZ that Belichick kept to himself and sat in the back row. He reportedly watched at least one of the teams' routines before exiting the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.
Belichick was dressed in casual street clothes, sporting dark jeans and a navy sweater. Although he reportedly turned down photo ops, fans said he was polite to everybody in attendance, per TMZ.

Belichick is reportedly being pursued by Peyton Manning's company, Omaha Productions
His 24-season run as a head coach in the league saw Belichick appear in nine Super Bowls and win six titles with the Patriots. After failing to qualify for the playoffs in the last two seasons, the Patriots decided to relieve him of his head coach and general manager duties.
With the absence of a coaching job, it has been rumored that Belichick's next move may be in sports media. The speculations come while his former quarterback Tom Brady gears up to begin his tenure as an NFL analyst and commentator for Fox in the upcoming season.
Belichick is reportedly being pursued by Peyton Manning to join his production company, Omaha Productions, per The Athletic.
Additionally, ESPN has also been thrown into the mix. The Athletic stated that Omaha and ESPN could link to pair Belichick with former Alabama head coach Nick Saban for an alternative broadcast.
ESPN has also been reported to have an interest in Jason Kelce, who announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday.
While actively pursuing the decorated coach, Networks believe that Belichick still hopes to return to the sideline in the long run.
