The desperate search for Texas A&M student Caleb Harris, 21, continues after he vanished following a 3:00am dog walk in Corpus Christi on Monday.

Caleb, a sophomore at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, disappeared without his shoes, wallet, and keys, and his phone has been dead since then.

He was last seen around 3:00am on Monday after walking his dog in the early morning hours and returning to The Cottages at Corpus Christi Apartments, where he lived with his roommates.

As the family prays for Caleb's return, his father Randy Harris joined NewsNation's Cuomo to discuss the ongoing search efforts.

Randy said, 'We just need to find Caleb. We know he's out there; it's a matter of where he is and what happened.'

In the past few days, authorities from the Corpus Christi Police Department, Texas Search and Rescue, the Coast Guard, local dive teams, and Caleb's family and friends have joined forces in the search efforts.

'We have the TEXSAR here, they're a search and rescue team, they brought in boats, they brought in people, they brought the dogs in this afternoon,' Randy said.

Caleb, with brown hair and eyes, stands at 5'11' and weighs around 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing teal pants, a white shirt, and no shoes or socks.

His Snapchat app pinged his last location in front of the entrance area of The Cottages, an off-campus student housing in Corpus Christi.

The 21-year-old man loves to fish and hunt, and has no medical conditions or mental health issues that could have contributed to the mysterious disappearance, according to his father Randy.

It's not unusual for Caleb to walk his dog in the early morning hours, Randy said. He had been packing lunch and preparing for school the next day.

'Caleb's missing without anything. No shoes, no wallet. His truck was locked, his keys are in the house,' Randy added.

CCPD Senior Officer Antonio Contreras said his team is doing everything possible to bring Caleb home safely.

'We're using the cadets that we have currently in the academy to physically get their boots on the ground and canvas the adjacent fields, the drainage ditches, areas like that,' Contreras said.

'Right now, as of early afternoon, we don't have any updates, but we're really working hard to find him,' he told KRIS 6 News on early afternoon of Wednesday.

Randy told the local news station that Caleb is a 'normal kid with a normal routine.'

'He planning on school the next day. Going to go fishing the next afternoon. He even texted me pictures of lures and fish that he planned on catching the next day, so I have no idea what happened. We're looking.'

Hampton McCullum, who has been friends with Caleb since high school and joined the search efforts said the most important thing on his mind is to find Caleb.

'Ever since he's been gone that's been all I've been thinking about. It's kept me up. He's such a happy person. He loves people. He loves fishing, that's the thing that he loves the most,' he said.

Another friend Emily Arp said: 'I cannot think about anything else and I haven't been able to do anything else.'

'He is so loved. I couldn't even imagine something else going on because everyone loved him. He didn't have any enemies. We just want Caleb to come home. This is so weird.'

Anyone who has any information about the whereabouts of Caleb Harris is urged to call the Corpus Christi Police Department directly at (361) 886-2840 or the non-emergency line at (361) 886-2600.
