Karla shared footage of herself pouring filtered water into her stainless steel bottle, saying she drinks 64 ounces a day
'For me, it just means I need two of these,' she said, tapping her stainless steel water bottle with her fingers.
Karla explained that you shouldn't chug your water, or you'll just end up having to go the bathroom a 'trillion times a day.'
'We're actually going to be intentional with our weight loss journey, and we want to be intentional with what we are putting in our body,' she said.
'So here is how to actually drink water intentionally, so you can help your body function as effectively as it can as it's losing all the weight.'
Karla poured filtered water from a pitcher into the bottle and added a 'pinch of salt.'
'But just a little bit,' she warned. 'This shouldn't be salty at all. This is actually going to add all the electrolytes back into your water. These are essential building blocks for our livelihood and making you prettier.'
She added that if you want to get 'fancy,' you can add slices of lemon or lime.
'This is just one of the ways that I show up for myself,' she explained. 'Ever since I started my healthy habits journey, my life has just changed for the better.

'Doing this little routine throughout the day or as soon as I wake up is how I take care of my health and happiness.'
Karla is just one of the many TikTok influencers touting the benefits of adding salt to water, which can replenish electrolytes and boost hydration.
However, experts say that most people get enough sodium throughout the day and don't need to drink salt water unless they are engaging in intense physical activity.
'As a dietitian, I would only recommend drinking water with salt after you've exercised in extreme heat and lost a lot of sweat. I also would avoid drinking it more than once a day,' Frances Largeman-Roth, RDN, told Today.com.

'[You] should also drink your water with a straw,' one person recommended. 'It helps trust me.'
'Yes! I drink 64oz of plain water daily,' someone else responded.
'This is better than Gatorade type of sugary chemical filled drinks,' another added.
