A grandmother is getting hate from her relatives after she took her grandchildren to 'the most magical place on Earth' without their mother's permission.

Her son created a Reddit account for his mother, 47, and requested that she create a post on the 'AmItheA**hole' subreddit on the matter.

'He claims my normal meter is skewed and the internet is going to tell me I am an a**hole,' she wrote in her post yesterday.

It all started when her son and daughter-in-law asked her to babysit their four- and five-year-old children for 'four nights and five days.'

'It seemed like a long time to watch the kids, and she has point blank told me that the woman's family is more important than the man's, so I was irritated I was being asked and not her mother,' she wrote.

Her daughter-in-law asked her to watch the kids so that they could attend a wedding in Mexico.

'They approached me since her mother would not be available, and I initially said I wasn't comfortable with that,' the grandmother wrote.

Although she claimed that she 'physically couldn't do it,' she eventually gave in.

'I will admit that I did give in when my son became very emotional, but I felt/feel like they were being manipulative.'

Everything seemed to be going alright until the original poster was invited and wanted to go to a birthday at Epcot in Disney.

'It didn't even occur to me to run it by my son or daughter in law, as I had the kids for an extended period of time and obviously they knew they would be going where I went,' she wrote.

'My daughter in law had previously mentioned wanting to save up for Disney, but she's said that about a lot of things, and never made me aware it was something super special to her.'

So, the original poster took her grandkids, and they made the two-hour drive to Disney.

The trip may not have been too special for her grandchildren because of their ages.

'A lot of rides at Disney aren’t even thrill rides and people were going on with babies in their lap,' she revealed in the comments section.

'The kids were too short for the real rides anyways.'

The poster also made sure that she wasn't the only person that would be looking over he grandchildren.

'My husband was there and there were other adults who while hot responsible for them would have stepped in if something serious happened,' she wrote.

'I am sure she does think I’m difficult. I think she’s difficult.'

According to what she wrote in the Reddit post, her daughter-in-law may be as 'difficult' as the grandmother described.

The OP (original poster) did not believe the trip was a big deal, one reason being that she considered Epcot to not be as big a deal as Disney's Magic Kingdom

The mess began right after her son and his wife came home from Mexico.

'She said I stole one of her kids first and called me entitled,' the OP (original poster) wrote regarding her daughter-in-law.

'To be honest I didn't react well to being called entitled, when she was the one who had previously demanded babysitting.'

Once her son demanded that she apologize to his 'furious' and 'distraught' wife, she immediately refused and asked them to leave.

'My son reached out again and said I should have asked for something that big, and his wife feels robbed,' the OP wrote.

'I told my son I am not apologizing for anything and maybe they should think about how they made me feel when they didn't respect my initial no.'

She added that her son felt like Reddit would show her the error of her ways.

Reddit users have instead backed up the OP since yesterday and wrote that she is not the a**hole (NTA) in this situation.

The commenters have mainly been standing up for the grandmother and dissing her son and his wife.

'Daughter in law is the CLEAR a**hole, and son too, for agreeing with your wife,' one person commented.

'Also, extra AH to you son, given he thought he and his entitled wife should be "vindicated by posting here,' they added.

Others have repeatedly called her son and her daughter-in-law 'entitled' and one user hoped that her son 'feels humble' on Reddit.

'She deserves no apology. She can pout and whine all she wants- she was the one who put you into an uncomfortable situation,' another Reddit user wrote.

'She never said not to go there and you're not a f****** mind reader.'
