Camila Cabello's recently released snippet of her new single has been met with a barrage of criticism, with some online critics declaring it 'the worst song ever.'

The 27-year-old Havana singer teased new unnamed song from her upcoming album in social media posts on March 6 - but the response has been less than enthusiastic.

Taking to social media, the singer, who recently opened up about her relationship with ex Shaun Mendez, shared a snippet of the new song, along with the caption: 'Coming soon(er than you think) xoxo. c.'

In one clip, the songstress is leaning backwards out of a car window, twisting around violently and singing to the camera.

While songstress was posing seductively, many followers couldn't help but compare it to a violent scene in the film Hereditary; where a character is decapitated by a telephone pole after leaning out of the car window.

A second clip posted to the star's social media was a snippet of her film clip, showing grainy clips of her attending a Miami Heat game and hugging player Jimmy Butler with influencer Alex Earle.

Before Miami Heat’s March 5 game against the Detroit Pistons, Jimmy Butler was spotted wearing the rumored title of Camila Cabello’s new single, I Luv It.

'I’m not joking when i say this has potential to be the worst song unleashed on the public of all time,'  one X, formally known as Twitter, user wrote, launching a slew of criticism for the yet-to-be released single.

'This is easily gonna be the worst song of the year,' another agreed.

'Camila Cabello's new song is hurting every fiber of my psyche,' an unhappy listener responded.

Others had some specific feedback on the sound.

'Song sounds like two tabs open on your computer playing at the same time,' a keen musician observed.

'That new Camilla Cabello song is unironically stuck in my head,' user admitted. 'I fear that lady knew what she was doing in the ear worm studio.'

While many slammed the song and accompanying  film clip snippet, others were convinced it was a stunt.

'Ppl not realizing camila cabello’s new song sounds like s**t on purpose is so funny. like guys it’s a marketing scheme,' a social media user theorized.

Some fans even think that fellow singer/songwriter Charli XCX was having a swipe at Camila's song, after the Speed Drive artist posted a video of herself writhing around the backseat of a car - appearing to be à la Camila Cabello.

The singer posted the clip of her lip-syncing to her song I Got It, simply captioning it: 'lol'.

Camila worked with producer, Pablo El Guincho, on the new album and said, 'I felt like he had just such a fresh perspective on pop music. He was the first person I just immediately knew that I wanted to work with.'

'I felt like he was kind of the weird guy in pop, and I just love working with people like that. I feel like that too, and I feel like I'm my best self when I'm doing weird experimental pop music.'

Although there is no set release date when it comes to new music, Cabello's last album was Familia (2022).

The singer was reported to be 'in talks' to possibly reunite with former group Fifth Harmony, after leaving the group on reportedly bad terms in 2016.

A source told Page Six that Normani, 27, Lauren Jauregui, 27, Ally Brooke, 30, and Dinah Jane, 26, would like to get back together.

Rumors of the girls reconvening appeared on social media last year when Brooke confirmed that she, Normani, Lauren, and Dinah secured ownership of Fifth Harmony's trademark.

Cabello was not involved at the time, per Page Six.
