Two Ohio women have been arrested for allegedly propping up an elderly man's body in a car and driving to a bank to withdraw money.
Loreen Bea Feralo, 55, and Karen Casbohm, 63, have been accused of driving the dead body of Douglas Layman, 80, to a bank drive-thru window and withdrawing money from his account in Ashtabula, Ohio, on March 4.
The suspects reportedly then dropped off his corpse at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
According to Ashtabula Police Chief Robert Stell, the accused women had propped Layman's dead body up in the passenger seat 'so that the teller could see him.'
'Before dropping him off they went through a bank drive-thru with him propped up in the passenger seat so that the teller could see him. They tried to withdraw money from his account.

Along with Feralo, Karen Casbohm, 63, reportedly then dropped off his corpse at the Ashtabula County Medical Center
'The bank had allowed this previously as long as they were accompanied by him,' Stell told the Star Beacon.
Once they were able to withdraw $900 from the dead man's account, the pair drove to the Medical Center and dropped off his body without identifying him or themselves.
'They left without providing any information to the hospital. They just left him,' Stell further said.
In a press release, officials said that a few hours after Layman had been left, one of the accused women called the Medical Center and gave them some identifiable information about him.
According to authorities, Feralo and Casbohm were able to move Layman's body out of his house into their car with the help of a third individual.
The Ashtabula Police Department also believes that Layman was already dead when the women took his body out of the house.
Officials noted that while the women did live with Layman in his house, none of them were related.

Both women have been charged with theft and gross abuse of a corpse, both of which are felonies.
But this not their first brush with the law.
Previously, Feralo had been convicted of reckless assault, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal trespass, driving under the influence, theft and attempted possession of drugs.
Casbohm has also been convicted of theft, soliciting, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and attempted drug abuse in the past.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of Layman's death. If found guilty, both women could face up to a year in prison on each charge, according to prosecutors.
