An Oregon high school basketball star missed a state tournament game after getting kicked in the head by one of his school's cheerleaders.
The cheerleader was attempting to complete a back hand spring when the starting lineups were being announced when she made contact with Barlow senior Sentori Martino.
After Martino had made his way closer to center court after being introduced, he unfortunately ran into the path of the cheerleader's feet, coming down on the latter half of the back hand spring.
Martino immediately fell to the court in agony with multiple of his teammates confused as to what to do next with their injured teammate.
According to commentator Chris Clayton on X, Martino did not play in the game against Jesuit in the state tournament.

Barlow did handily defeat Jesuit 69-39 in the state consolation game.
To conclude the season, Barlow defeated Grant in a consolation playoff 61-58 to finish in fourth place in Oregon's largest high school classification.
There was no statistics available online to confirm whether Martino missed a second straight game.
According to MaxPreps, Martino is a 6-foot-1 senior, who was also on the school's football team.
Should Martino have been unable to play against Grant, the unfortunate incident would be a cruel way to end a prep basketball career.
