Podcaster Joe Rogan has said that Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was an 'identity hire' and the worst spokesperson in White House history.

In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the host and American conservative activist Christopher Rufo openly bashed Jean-Pierre - who is a black, gay woman - and her boss, President Joe Biden

Rogan, 56, started off by calling out Biden's concerning old age, and said that the 81-year-old is 'so frail' and 'transparent.'

The podcast host continued: 'And it's so transparent to the point where the White House press secretary accidentally tweets as him from her account.'

He then went on to ask Rufo if there has 'ever been a worse press secretary' before he questioned how Jean-Pierre got the coveted position in the first place.

'She's so bad at convincing people,' Rogan said before he suggested that 'hard-core, ideologically driven, left-wing pundits that are on YouTube' would do better at her job.

'Like, she's not the one. She's f****** terrible at it,' he added.

The host then mentioned how journalist Peter Doocy is 'always setting her up' at press conferences, and added that 'he's so good.'

Rufo said that even though she's 'challenged by one person' in the briefing room, she 'still manages to bungle it on the daily.'

'Well, it's just, there's so much madness she has to cover up,' Rogan responded.

Rufo said that she was not hired on her 'competence, excellence, or merit' and instead said she was given the job because of her race, gender and sexuality.

'It's what happens when you put identity over competence,' Rufo said before he added that her 'intersectional identities' got her the job.

'This is our first black female, I don't know LGBTQ, not really sure,' he added.

Rufo went on to say that now that Jean-Pierre is in the position, nothing can be done on the 'back end' to kick her out of the job.

'Well, you elevated this person for identity, you can't fire that person because of incompetence,' Rufo said before he compared it to former Harvard President Claudine Gay.

'But the Harvard story is the exact phenomenon,' Rufo said.

Gay, a black, female president, resigned on January 2 following her shocking response at a congressional testimony about campus anti-Semitism.

Jean-Pierre has repeatedly been criticized for her responses at press conferences as she was seen brushing aside Biden's age concerns in a recent briefing

During it, the White House confirmed that the president did not take a cognitive test during his annual physical, and insisted he 'doesn't need' one.

Jean-Pierre insisted that Biden is fit for a second term and dismissed the need for a cognitive, despite the Department of Justice calling him an 'elderly man with a poor memory' in the special counsel report on his mishandling of classified documents.

Jean-Pierre has served at the White House press secretary since May 2022. She previously worked as deputy press secretary for Jen Psaki, the former press secretary, and served as the chief of staff for Kamala Harris during the 2020 presidential campaign

'His doctor, including the neurologist, do not believe that he needs one,' Jean-Pierre said at the press briefing.

She responded: 'Folks need to understand that the president passes a cognitive test every day!'
